  1. How long would it live on a boat after being out of the water?
  2. I haven't small mouthed or trout fished now since Feb. it's killing me to did get on some crappie last month, got fish to eat, but ready for some smallies!
  3. I do a lot of self filming, so something like this would be something i'd really look at getting. I'm with you Phil on the prepay thing, and then waiting till Feb. There's another one coming out called an Air Dog that does the same thing and has switchable batteries, it's made to attach a Gopro on it, which many already have. Bigggest thing I like about this Lily over that Air Dog is it's waterproof, and you just throw it out there or land it in your hand, that is really cool.
  4. Wow, that thing is beyond sweet!!
  5. Great report and pics, looks like a lot of fun was had!
  6. I've got a 30 minute show edited that will air this summer on a cold day I and my friend Max got to fish white river with ham. Pulled a couple clips from the finished product to show here. Coldest day ive ever fished as u see at the end and me trying to handle a rainbow. Lol. Doesn't slow ham down much tho!! Hope y'all enjoy!
  7. I know some guys that partake of the Clearwater winter fishing, I've never been up there, or plan on it, but It sounds like they can keep 5 per person up there? I know he keep everything he catches to, don't take long to add up at that rate.
  8. Hate to hear this. Wayne was one of the first ones to welcome me to the forum. He carried himself well here, seemed like a fine fella!
  9. I have still yet to go, I've been able to fish one day a week lately but keep going to the crappie. I may sneak to the current later in the week!
  10. Great fish!! Yeah, that pretty much what I throw now, with the exception when there's a good jerkbait bite. Ham's right, it will just keep getting better as you use them!
  11. Never tried the strawberry yet, I hit south fork and spring river over there when we are at the place in Hardy.. Sounds like fun other than the cottonmouth action Ham.
  12. Saw a facebook post from a guide on Current River caught a 21 incher today, said bite was good for a bit then shut off. Think i'm going after crappie again tomorrow or the next day, ready to chase a Smallie tho!
  13. I've had crappie fishing on my mind lately, but a friend of mine went to Doniphan today and said the river looked good. I'm starting to itch to try some smallmouth, anybody been after um?
  14. BeetleSpins for an all around bait, zara spooks for topwater. In the heat of the summer in super clear water, Jet Black single blade spinnerbait at night!
  15. Still to wet to work in the fields, so decided to try out my spider rig setup I rigged up for my Blazer. Fished till about 1130 and caught 15, and some good slabs! Had to cook a fish fry for dinner for our group at Church, had channel cat, flathead and a few of these, man nothing like fresh crappie! Hope to get back to work soon, but with the forcast for more rain, i'll be sneaking off back here next week for my sanity if it does.
  16. Thanks guys! We went back there this afternoon for a bit, he was wanting to catch a big one that we saw following on of his fish the other day. I think he's hooked!
  17. My boy has always liked to go fishing, but up till this week, it's been mostly I hook a fish and let him reel it in, and he throws his zebco with a bobber type stuff. Today he said he wanted to fish with my pole like a big boy. So he used my 7 foot St. Croix with yes folks... a ned rig... Well, he got on um good down at a good friend of mine's pond. He casted, worked, hooked and reeled in some good bass and a Dandy redear all on his own. I was throwing a brown and orange one, and caught a few, but he actually outcaught me using a pb and j, and he is 6yo. I was trying to get him to slow down his retrieve until after his 3rd fish I realized I should let him keep on, I sped mine up after that.... He was so excited but not as much as me, I think this summer I'm taking him on the Current with me to smallmouth fish! Today was a milestone I guess you could say, and just wanted to share, he keeps it up he'll be posting reports on here one day!
  18. Observations I've seen around here, I see a lot the young'uns into fishing and hunting still.
  19. Man hate to here that, hopefully a speedy recovery!
  20. My son wanted to go fishing yesterday and make a video with daddy! He's really improved from last year with casting and patience! Think I'm bout ready to take him smallie fishing with me!
  21. Here's a little vid I made awhile back, there is a difference in how it's worked, especially in cool water!
  22. That's a Jim Dandy!
  23. Dandy!!
  24. Agreed Rick, I sure enjoyed meeting you guys, hope we can fish again soon! Had a great time as always with Ham! BTW, as for the mentioned video, i'll work on it when I get more time, staying busy since I got back, i'd say there's 100 fish on film, and I did scan through it, and there a good 5 minute run I watch of fish being continually caught by the three of us, including a triple, that I could run and never break away from the scene. I like to flyfish at times so don't get me wrong, but at one time one of the guide down there was fishing close to us and he moved, might of got tired of watching the action.. White jig was hot that first hour, after a while, I actually went back to my standby olive and ginger and it picked up!! Great day, i'll post a video eventually!
  25. Had a great day Monday fishing with Ham and my friend Max. This was pretty much the first time Max had trout fished, and he did pretty good, especially at first. He was also able to see his first brown trout up close which i'd say was a 19 to 20 inch dandy that Ham caught on a white jig. It was about the coldest weather I fished in, and other than fingers and ears, held up pretty good! Last time I fished the white river, I did have some jerkbait magic during the annual get together back in DEC, but I didn't throw any around the dam due to not wanting to smash my barbed hook, then at Buffalo City, asHam stated, water was pretty trashy. But a great time as always, and hot action first half of the day, I love it, and ready to go again soon hopefully.
