  1. Went out of the State Park and fished then area around the the peninsula on the other side from the Dam and managed to hook into Seven Bass with on Keeper and two that will be by Fall. The rest were 12" to 13" but full of fight. All on a worm rigged on a worm hook with a jig head stuck in the head with hook and eye cut off. had a good morning then that wind came in a blew all afternoon. Had fun!!! :D :D PS: Good meeting you Capt. Joe and had a nice conversation with you at the ramp. Thanks for hooking up the boat for me I appreciated that assistance.
  2. I hope I can post a similar report after fishing tomorrow. I can't take any pictures because I had my camera in my pocket when a big wind came up on Pickwick Lake and pushed us under a foot bridge and knocked me into the water. Those insulated Flannel shirts sure are heavy when they are soaked.
  3. Thank you Eric I appreciate the response. I am planning on going to the State Park tomorrow.
  4. Put the important information up as a sticky at the top and people wouldn't need to ask or search.Sorry I asked a question as I thought no question was stupid and if you want to know something you ask.
  5. Is the Ramp at Indian Point open for putting in a bass boat cause I want to go fishing tomorrow?
  6. As old Buck Perry used to say the fish are shallow, deep, or somewhere in between. He always made it sound so simple but for some reason we still can't find them.
  7. Thanks Phil I appreciate the help.
  8. I don't really know for sure but I would imagine since it is fishing that it would be Co-Ed.
  9. The Illinois High School Association has made it official and is adding competitive high school fishing as a sanctioned sport. It is scheduled to start in the spring of 2009. Illinois is the first state in the US to do this............kinda exciting. It will be a great thing for kids and with Colleges having competitive fishing teams can you imagine how hard it will be in Illinois to get on one of these teams. Hopefully other states will follow and we can have competition across the country.
  10. Thanks Lilly! No hurry just like to get it done and get the shop moving again.
  11. I am not and electrician and frankly it scares me cause I never really know what I am doing. I am putting in a Woodshop and have wires run from the Box through the floor to the spots I want the boxes. This is 220 volt and it total confuses me. I have three of those and one 110 volt box that needs wiring. I think I have the right stuff laid out in the floor as far as the wires. I know the 110 Volt is right. I live in Nixa and need someone to come by and complete the wiring so I can put down another floor layer. The PM's on here never work for me so if you would E-mail me at glange@cebridge.net if you can do this. Thank you all in advance for your consideration in this matter.
  12. Nothing more enjoyable then taking kids fishing. When living in Illinois and the wife was doing daycare full time from home I would take all four of them to the Park Pond and they would catch a bunch of Brown Bullheads until they go tired of it. Then they would head to the swings, slides and a the climbing things and play until lunch time. After lunch they would somehow talk me into taking them to McDonalds for lunch and more playing there. It was fun and I loved every minute of it.
  13. That was the best read I have seen on fishing Table Rock I have ever read. I am gonna have to make a copy and carry it with me in the boat as a reference manual on Table Rock Smallmouths. Thanks for this informative and easy to read and understand article.
  14. I was out yesterday for a Club Tourney and got a whipping too. I only caught two fish and both were too small. Still had fun though.
  15. Congratulations Capt. Joe to you and all the other members that worked so hard this year to get to where you are now. Good luck at Amistad.
  16. Wasn't just picking on the smallmouth forum... What Smallmouth forum? I didn't know there was one down this way. I agree that non-registered browsers shouldn't be able to post but they should be able to look a site over and see if it is the type of site they are looking for.
  17. Don't feel bad Brownieman I haven't either for some odd reason. Never had any problem on any other board except this one. Don't feel bad Brownieman I haven't either for some odd reason. Never had any problem on any other board except this one.
  18. Knowing them it would be a screen enclosure. Had a great time and it was nice seeing everyone again. Lets all hope for better weather next year as it was a tad bit colder and windier then I like it.
  19. OzarkAngler, Try this place for your older motor needs. Twin City Outboards, Shakopee, Mn. 952-496-1951. They specialize in the vintage outboards and they probably have what you need.
  20. I am Bringing my Meatball Sandwiches and hope someone brings a Generator with some electric power.
  21. I knew that but it was really cold that day and I wanted to feel a Smallie on the end of my line. Live Minnow on a Splitshot did the trick for that 18" Fox River Smallie in Dec.
  22. You guys can't look any worse then I did while Winter Wading back in Illinois!
  23. Heres the link on snopes to check it out. http://www.snopes.com/computer/virus/postcard.asp PLEASE SEND THIS TO EVERYONE ON YOUR CONTACT LIST!! A new virus has just been discovered that has been classified by Microsoft as the most destructive ever. This virus was discovered yesterday afternoon by McAfee . This virus simply destroys Sector Zero from the hard disk, where vital information for its functioning are stored. This virus acts in the following manner: It sends itself automatically to all contacts on your list w ith the title: 'You've received a Post Card from a Family member'. As soon as the supposed virtual card is opened the computer freezes so that the user has to reboot. When the ctrl+alt+ del keys or the reset button are pressed, the virus destroys Sector Zero, t hus permanently destroying the hard disk. Yesterday in just a few hours this virus caused panic in New York , according to news broadcast by CNN. This alert was received by an employee of Microsoft itself. So don't open any mails with subject: 'A Post Card from ' As soon as you get the mail, delete it !! Even if you know the sender !!! Please pass this mail to all of your friends. Forward thi s to everyone in your address book. I'm sure most people, like myself, would rather receive this notice 25 times than not at All
  24. I will bring a big old batch of them Meatball Sandwiches like I did last year. I am sure we will have the Generator like last year.
  25. I was doing some boat testing with some guys at Aunts Creek this Summer and pulled my boat up onto the bank. I was going to put a length of rope under a rock on shore and lifted it so I could do that. Low and behold under it was a Small Copperhead. I just put the rock back down and left him alone. I give Snakes plenty of space.
