  1. There is timber sticking up along a lot of the bluffs and in a lot of the coves some are just at the surface so got to look for them. I mainly fish the Pomme arm and think there is more timber on the Pomme side. But can say from years of fishing here brush piles generally produce better in the summer than the standing timber most but not all of the time. At least it seems that way for me.
  2. Sorry but think there will be plenty more. Think they are just getting started.
  3. Yes found them at Pomme.
  4. Found these on the Corp ground this evening.
  5. That's why generally unless I'm fishing a tournament I don't fish on days that start with S
  6. Found these on the Corp ground this afternoon.
  7. My boy and a friend of his went for a couple hours fishing from the bank and caught their limit of crappie in the back of a cove on the Pomme side.
  8. No problem hope your turkey hunting and fishing are productive for you when you are down Alaskageek. Also let me Know a day when you're going to be out on Pomme and I will try to get out there and meet up with you. That also goes for you too KC Steve. don't
  9. A friend of mine and his wife said they found a spot and were catching crappie one after another right on the bank this morning on the Pomme side.
  10. I have an older 12 volt 36 lb Motorguide foot controlled trolling motor replaced it with a bigger one. Works and runs quiet. Make me an offer
  11. Went out and fought the wind for awhile this afternoon. Didn't do very good caught 3 one about 3lb on a jerk bait and two on RC they were 1 lb and 3lb all we're caught in 5-10 fow. May try again tomorrow see if I can find them.
  12. Can't really help right this minute but if I am healed up enough from my broken ribs by Wednesday and Thursday I plan on going out. Need to get out and fine tune my boat after doing some work on it but definitely plan on doing some bass fishing. If I do will report back on how it goes.
  13. Ketchup if you're over here at Pomme I have my policy if you want to look it over.
  14. I have mine through United Marine Underwriters. It runs me $245 a year. And it does cover my boat while fishing tournaments as long as endorsements and prize money doesn't equal more than half my annual income. I did have a claim late this winter when I hit a stump and smoked the lower unit. They paid off with no hassle and within a couple weeks. If total loss they will pay the amount that the boat is insured for. But on my lower unit they deprecated it 3% because it was over 10 years old but now that I replaced it the 10 years started over so will be full replacement less deductable for next 10 years. This is coverage I have.
  15. I was liking the fact that the lake was starting to clear some. But went across the dam today and looked like we lost all that we gained as far as clarity.
  16. Yeah I seen those on Amazon. I just put Chris Carson reeds and new hpdi lower unit with low water pick up on my OX66 and it's a little higher geared that the original. Haven't been on the water yet so waiting till after I run it before I buy a prop in case I need to drop back a prop size.
  17. I'm running the 25M pro series also and it does good but getting kinda beat up. And like you, been talking to some prop shops and they are telling me get a txp and I won't be disappointed with my setup. Going to try one. Probably end up buying a new one but hope to find a good used one.
  18. If anyone has one that they are not using and would want to sell let me know. Thanks Scott
  19. Good luck to you! When I get my boat back together I'm wanting to go give it a try.
  20. Housing, carrier and input shaft are good prop shaft is slightly bent. Pinion gear has a broken tooth and dinged up forward and reverse gear. Not sure what it's worth if interested let me know.
  21. I appreciate your replies, but just can't make myself buy one.
  22. That's my thoughts exactly!
  23. Way to go on the Crappie. We were hitting brush piles where they were before the water came up with no luck. We don't spider rig so guess l will just have to wait till they move back to the piles or to the bank.
  24. Yeah that's what I was thinking after pricing parts that couldn't rebuild it for much less than a reman. Thanks for the information I seen the SEI for $900 but done a lot of research online and just not sure I can bring myself to buy one. I think I can get a lot better quality with a good reman. or bite the bullet and get a new oem. I may be wrong but I pulled wrenches for 20 years for ag dealers and find it hard to believe I can buy a quality brand new Lower unit for half what it would cost to rebuild mine.
  25. Went out again yesterday afternoon for about 3 hours once again no luck. Only fairly clear water is from State Park Marina to the dam. The rest of the lake is lucky to have 2" of visibility. Water temp around the dam was 43° but found some 52° water up around Haverstick.
