  1. I caught it on a main lake channel swing point in about 10 fow on a lucky craft pointer.
  2. Thanks I have caught several this spring all while bass fishin. 22" was the best till this one. It was 26" and was 6 lb. 12 oz. Actually caught it last Thursday while prefishing for a tournament.
  3. You will only need 1 ground and 1 power wire going to the battery but you will have to make sure that they are the ones running to the posts in the plug that your new motor uses. Not hard to do if you have a volt meter.
  4. Like Shockley said trading post at Carson's corner and the Triangle on the west side by Wheatland ramp both open by at least 6:00 and have bait.
  5. Oh OK thanks I overlooked that.
  6. What is your asking price?
  7. Says less hang ups, but I'm with you moturkey looks a bit snaggy. Think I will just stick with the ones with the screw keeper and they are not near as expensive.
  8. Thanks wrench I will pass this info on to him. I'm not sure how much he is looking to spend he just ask me to keep an eye open for one and I knew you had motors at times. Once again thanks.
  9. Thx wrench I bet that Champion isn't rated for a 235. Do you have any idea what you are going to want for the XR2. Also how much for the 175 XP and do you have the controls for it also.
  10. Friend of mine is looking for a good outboard for 1987 18 1/2 ft. Champion. He needs motor and controls.
  11. I like the lucky craft pointers. Seem to catch more fish than a rogue and they cast way better in the wind.
  12. Rock snot is thick everywhere. Wish I could help you I was doing pretty good on jerk bait earlier. Went out for about 3 hours this afternoon I fished jerk bait, spinner bait, crank bait, plastics and jig on main lake points, secondary points, main lake banks, halfway back in coves and backs of coves and didn't get bit. In other words I stunk it up.
  13. Pomme has always been good for crappie for me. I have never used nibbles so can't help you with that.
  14. You could call the Triangle 417-282-5959 Chip just put in some new units right next to the Triangle about a mile west of Galmey.
  15. Even though I mostly fish Pomme I like seeing a newcomer getting into fishing. Keep the fishing passion and build on it. Looking forward to hearing how you do as build your fishing experience.
  16. Went out for a few hours this afternoon. Think the cold front hurt some, only caught 3 small keeper bass. Water temp ran between 47 and 50 which was actually warmer than I thought it would be.
  17. I just bought a Loomis E6X for jerk baits and top water baits. It has a full cork handle. Only had a chance to use it a few times but so far really like it.
  18. I hope to get out tomorrow or Friday if I do will let you know what I do or don't find out.
  19. Reeves Bros. winning weight was 26 lb 13 oz. With big bass of 6lb. 13 oz. The tournament 2 weeks ago took 19 to win and 18 to be in the money with big bass of 6.45 lbs.
  20. I used a medium for a long time and as you said warrior I had no problem feeling the tick's. It worked great using same rod for bass and crappie but like the light action for casting the light jigs. If just jigging brush piles a medium worked fine.
  21. I am with you panfisher I really like power pro braid the feel is so much better. Only I don't use the leader, all I have used for the last 4 years is hi vis yellow in 10 lb. And doesn't seem to make a nickels worth of difference. The reason for the yellow is so I can see the line jump when they are hitting on the fall. Also a bonus is can pull out of a brush pile when hung up saves a lot of jigs.
  22. I would recommend a light action not ultra light, and a in my experience I really like a large arbor reel like the pflueger arbor. I fish a Loomis 7 ft. Light action and really like the sensitivity for feeling the light bites.
  23. Ordered some of your baits the other day. They look great and shipping was super fast. As soon as I get out to try them will probably be ordering more.
  24. Mostly gravel and chunk rock primary and secondary channel swing points. Been fishing the mid to lower Pomme arm.
