  1. I just checked the captain stacy website www.captstacy.com and it appears that they have moved to Atlantic Beach, NC. Doug
  2. You are right Dano it would be cold this time of year, will probably push it back to April or May, as long as it is before school is out. Jscheets yes it is wreck fishing that I am looking for. There is a fishing party boat out of Hilton Head called the Captain Stacy that I really like the looks of. It holds 20 - 30people and it fishes the wrecks and does very well but holds the costs down to where I can afford it. Doug
  3. Great game Saturday. KSU has one heck of a team and maybe the suspensions hit home at Mizzou. Just wish I would have gotten to see the last two minutes of the game. My cable picked the worst time of the day to go out. Doug
  4. Thanks Terry, Sounds great, and I should add that I use ground turkey breast to control cholesterol as regular groung turkey could have about anything in it including the skin. Thanks, Doug
  5. I'm all over that! Thank you!!! Doug
  6. I am more inetrested in running down to Roark Creek and on down to Bull Creek for a new experience. The boats you have now serve my purposes very well in the upper lake and I will continue to rent them. The casting platform would probably give you an incredible view but would probably put me in the drink! Thanks, Doug
  7. Next year at approximately this time I would like to take my wife on a vacation to snowbird country. Could be from the North Caroilina Outer Banks to Hilton Head, Tybee Island down to Ilslamorada or even back towards Desitn, Florida. Would really like to go to the Hilton Head, Tybee Island area. I realize there is good fishing in all the areas but this trip is for my wife. She wants to stay on the water where ever we go. Does anyone know how to achieve this without having to take out a second on my house. Would love to go now but my company is moving and I have been gorunded through the end of April to get ready for the move. As far as fishing goes Dolphin Docks in Port Aransas Texas looks real good but I'm afraid this would not do much for the wife. One other consideration. She has an aunt and uncle that have been trying to get us to come down in the New Orleans area. I would be intersted in hearing opinions about the oil rig oppurtunies around the Venice area. Please help folks! My wife would be perfectly content to sit on the beach and read a book, but I would like to capitalize on the oppurtunity to catch saltwater fish. Any ideas would be greatly apprciated. Thanks, Doug Got the wink from Trav, lol Hang in there Trav
  8. I watched a fishing show on tv this mornig and saw a product called the ARC dehooker. Was wondering if anyone else saw this and what they thought. Just curious if this was good for trout. Thanks, Doug
  9. Has anyone tried the burrito pie using ground turkey instead of beef. Just curious. Sounds great but I am watching my cholesterol. Thanks for your responses. Doug
  10. Congrats Joby. That was quite a performance. It sure is tough to be a tiger right now but any time the hawks go down it is time to party. Doug
  11. PM Greg at Boomerang Resort over by Branson West. These are great people and a clean resort that they have been remodeling over the winter. He goes by WVU on this forum. I have been there and would highly recommend it. Doug
  12. Thanks for rubbing it in Phil. Single digits here in KC today. Oh well I would probably do it to. Have a great time phil. Doug

10-4 brownieman, and being a taxpayer of this state I feel that I have the right to be po'd. Doug

    Ooops!

Glad everyone is ok. But I would really like to know how you turn a pontoon boat over! Was not there but it seems to me that someone would really have to use poor judgement to achieve this feat. Doug
  15. For what it is worth PM's are taking an abnormally long time to send here also. Doug
  16. crappiefisherman, sent you a pm. Please let me know if you did not get it. Doug

    Cotton Bowl

Missouri kept their mouthes shut before this game and did the damage on the score board(they should have done this against Oklahoma instead of waking up a sleeping giant). Also the situation at Arkansas had to be a huge dstraction to the kids, what with the coaching change, interim coach and all. Being from Kansas City I did not to hear all of the skinny on what happened down there this season but it seems to me that coach McNutt left that program in a total shambles. Not to worry though Arkansas fans I saw a lot of talent on that team. I just hope for your sake that coach Petrino does a lot better job and does not bail on you all also. Good luck in the SEC next season. Doug
  18. I am still perusing my new 2008 BPS catalog and I am getting floored the more I look. Where does the madness end. Daiwa makes a new baitcaster called the Steez, only 5.5 ounces and just $449.95. Not to be outdone I get to the Shimano's and they have a baitcaster with digital braking( the Calais) and this is just $649.99. I have not even made it to the rods yet. This is starting to make fly fishing look cheap!! Am I to old school or is this just ridiculous. I'm not even going to touch bass boats at $45 - $50,000. And these are the big box boats not even the big boys,Triton, Ranger etc. I thought my old Panterra II was expensive. Just curious as to what other people think. Doug
  19. I received my 2008 BPS catalog in the mail yesterday. I turned to the fly fishing section and got no farther. I have questions about three fly lines I saw. First the Scientific Anglers Sharksin line And second the Rio Gold. Does anyone know the story on these two lines? The third line was Scientific Anglers Mastery GPX with dry tip. Is this the same as the old GPX? Thanks for your help. Hope everyone has a wonderful holiday season. Doug
  20. Just picked up my copy of this dvd here in Independence, Mo. at the Rainbow Fly shop. Look's great Davy. Thanks much. Doug
  21. I want in and would be interested in joining your organization as I live in Independence. Doug
  22. Here in Independence we had ice but not the massive power failures that a lot of other areas across the midwest had. The news tonight says that starting tommorrow night into Saturday we are supposed to receive 3-6 inches of snow. That is ok we can deal with that as I still consider us extremely fortunate compared to what a lot of other people in the midwest are experiencing. My prayer is that I hope this snow does not hit the people that have already been decimated by the ice. Good luck everyone! Doug
  23. bobber, thanks for the website. Seems to have more info and less BS. Thanks, Doug
  24. Bobtu, just remembered that I received some adds from K&k and they were closing out this years TFO pro's for $83.00. I believe Cabella's was doing the same and I bet others are also. You could make a real nice combo with this rod as the base. Doug
  25. It is now Sunday morning and looks like we missed the rough stuff. We have one more band coming through and it is supposed to be over by mid afternoon. Our roads are slick but no power issues yet. It sounds as though Columbia has caught the brunt of what we thought we were going to get. One more good one is supposed to come through Tuesday and then back to normal. Doug
