Just wondering if anywone can give me any good information on Walleye fishing at Stockton. Planning on going this week. We've been out 6 times so far. Only yesterday did we finally catch some fish (Crappie), I take that back, Wednesday we caught a 12" Shad... lol Haven't gottten to do a lot of fishing the last 5 years, mostly been in Iraq/Afghanistan the whole time... So, out making up for lost fishing time!!!
Just needing some help on catching fish. I've searched and I've read and read on here for tips. Just not having much luck. Conservation agent stopped us the other day and told us that when the water temp hits 50* it'll be time. Well, yesterday we saw 47-49* water temps! We put in at CC Bridge and went left from the dock.
If you could maybe let me know a few good spots, it would be greatly apprecieated!! I'm not familiar with any of the "names" that people have, like Chicken rock etc...
Also, yesterday, didn't have any luck until 3, was in the water at 8 am lol. When we finally started catching fish, they were in 25' of water, supspended at 15'. We were trolling and caught 10 in about an hour. The were caught on: 5 - 2" Swimmer baits in blue/silver and perch, 3 on 1/4 oz White Crappie jig, and 2 on a 4" Rapala black/silver crank.
Thanks and Good Luck fishing!
