Throwin a frog on Lower Taneycomo
Moswimb8slinger replied to Moswimb8slinger's topic in Lower Taneycomo
Its a Booyah Pad Crasher (bigger size). Mobassin95, that's lower Taneycomo above the Powersite Dam, Forsyth side. -
Won a GoPro at the kayak tournament and started putting it to use. The weed mats are starting to set up nicely for throwing a hollow body frog over them. I had to get warmed up as I had missed a few fish before finally hooking one. Here's a clip of that fish. https://youtu.be/v7uSBUIWkas

The E-commerce site is still new to us and always adding stock to the website and making adjustments to the site itself. Plus there's always the old school way of picking up the phone and calling the store itself, we have very knowledgeable and experienced staff on hand to help you get what you need.

I kinda wished they picked a more original name (Ozarks Extreme Outdoors / Extreme Outdoors), maybe like Urich Outdoors?

The pair of orange "fish grips" I have are strong enough to carry up to 39lbs stripers. And we carry them at the Ozarks Extreme Outdoors shop. You should be able to gind them on kayakfishingproshop.com

Actually guys are excited about that bait and can't wait for it to become available.

KBS tournament results - Table Rock Lake
Moswimb8slinger replied to Moswimb8slinger's topic in Table Rock Lake
They have had to iron out a few things after the last event on Dale Hollow when they caught a cheater, who had 3 different hog troughs, an original, one cut 2 inches short and another cut 4 inches short, making short fish look longer. They now inspect and tag (the red tag on the bump) the Hog Trough you're using in the tournament. -
It was a decent day for fishing for quite a few guys. Me personally, lost several good bass throughout the day that could've put me in the top 5, lost a big one (5lbs to 6lbs) on a jig that would've won the big bass pot, just have to make them stick next time. 3 of the Ozarks Extreme Outdoors pro-staff guys (Justin, Tyy and Jim) dominated the top 5 with Jeff Mallott (Razoryak Tournament Trail) taking home the win and $3,000. Keep an eye out next year, they are splitting the KBS into 3 divisions (including a Central), and may come back to Table Rock Lake or another local lake.

I did just lose alot of baits when my kayak flipped about a month ago. Slowly rebuilding the collection. Mainly lost soft baits and a few larger hard baits.
-
What kind of Fancy swimbait?lol
-
I was telling the guys it looks like a good old MO pond, so I'll fish it like a pond. White or green pumpkin colored Spinnerbaits and swimjigs, buzzbaits, hollow body frogs, super shallow diving/wake squarebill crank, swim an 8" red shad colored Powerbait ribbon tail worm- Texas rigged, etc. The bass might be spawned out by the time the tournament rolls around.
-
Neat Idea. Might as well get a boat at that rate...lol
-
WR Spot is 10.98lbs now. And I agree Dave, the dirty water has been a sucker punch to my big bait confidence. Even more now with that stringy green slime growing in the Dam area...
-
And this was sent to me last week. I've disgusted the guy's face as he hasnt posted this on his Facebook, but I'd say this Spot is an easy double digit.
-
It's really sucked since the Christmas flood. I blanked at the BPS Big Bass this year. And threw everything that was supposed to be working and then some. It's really driving me nuts that the TR is still this dirty. It started getting really good for me in December when it reached 15 fov. The only big bait bite since was a 16" LM bottom bumping a Savage Gear 8" 3d line-thru in March.
-
There's already trout in Table Rock.lol I suppose a trout patterned bait would be really good in the Roaring River and White River arms. I haven't made it over that way to try it out.

Why don't they just manage the Spotted Bass to try obtain larger specimens like the one coming out of Berryessa and Bullards Bar in California?
