Hey was wondering if anyone has fished Caplinger Mills lately ? I have had good luck there in the past during this time of year on crappie when stockton is letting out water. Maybe with all this rain ? .,,

Hello. Was out tonight in the kayak and saw several muskies surfacing and "rolling" around. They didnt appear to be feeding ? I am 100 % certain they were muskies as several were less than 25 feet or so away. There had to be at least a half dozen of them in a fairly concentrated area. Is this normal behavior ? I am new to pomme de terre and kind of thought they were more elusive, especially this time of year. I threw on a a wiggle wart for giggles and some seemed to even follow them for aways...

Nice work ! Sounds like you launched at old state park ? ( Hartley) Sold my boat this winter but have a little v bottom with trolling motor. Could a guy do any good within a half mile of the ramp on walleye ? Did u catch them within that cove or did u go past the bridge ? Thanks !

Went today to an unspecified location above Taylor. Fished for about 3 hours. Me and a buddy caught around 30 in about an hour and they shut off. Lots of small males mixed with a few bigger fish. Lost what appeared to be a nice walleye. All caught on chartreuse and purple clousers with sink tip line, nobody else was catching much. They were all in one little hole by the hundreds it seemed like -
I will be there tommorow. Have they made it up to Taylor or still closer to Aldrich ?

Went to Taylor on the 9th. Nothing. Went to steel bridge and one guy had one or two little males. Give it a week

I am a fly fishing novice. I have only targeted trout in the past. Would like to get into some white bass, walleye,, crappie this spring. I have a 5 wt fly rod and regular floating line. Can someone recommend a set up for white bass fishing on the fly. Would a 5 weight rod be too light? Fly selections? Line ? Leader ? Would there be a place in sgf that could help set up my rod/reel. Does anyone go to Little Sac who could show me a few things, swap a beer ? Thanks !
