Had a similar situation at Aunts creek , foggy went across from ramp. Heard loud music, then ski boat and skier came out of mist, just crazy. Another time, after early morning fishing rounded Pt 10 at 9:00 am heading to ramp, three boats running abreast, headed to point between aunts & little aunts and bounced around a while. Summer time, what a wonderful event, limit my time between Memorial & Labor Day, not worth the risk.

Forgot to mention Bimini top is adjustable to lay on back deck in front of engine. Appreciate previous comment.

I have hummingbird helix 5 si/gps unit up front mounted to trolling motor. There is a way that with mmc card and multi-card reader to a usb port on computer. you are able to download recorded data from unit and use computer screen to enlarge views and pick up waypoints that can be transferred back to unit. Cost for mmc card and adapter is about $20 bucks. You can find on internet a step by step process which you can name point and info on a list. Been a while since I saw on tips and tricks of larger units that have same software installed. Have only used the side range to get larger pic on smaller unit. Believe tutorial is attached to a 1198 unit as far as how to setup and document all data. Of coarse the larger unit owners probably know more about this trick, just suggesting something I found a couple of years ago, maybe things have changed or updated. Just found that trick when I was updating equipment for next boat.

If you are talking lodging for only two with the possibility of renting a boat, it may be better to rent a cabin from local resort. You can use local realtors for search for lake front property. Table rock is becoming popular now, I would suggest further from Branson proper, the traffic is bumper to bumper at this time. I have lived in reeds spring for seven and owned house for eleven years; great people from all over the country, shopping is close, including fast food in Branson West. Average population in towns are two- three thousand. Lodging I would suggest Crest lodge or something in Branson west Kimberling city area. Realtor, Tammy Johnson 417 818 8297, she gave us an estimate on our house last fall and was most accommodating and informative. rps: purchased mine thru local bass club, two for the price of one. I use 8 - 10 # flora with 3/16 wt, #1 worm hook and fish doctor. Don't know total weight but was surprised at how far it casted. Am boat less now but ever in aunts creek area, let me know and you can try it out. Need to put new line on. Just thought it might be good for ned rig with lighter line.

Forgot to mention,it only takes a flick of the wrist instead of any over head cast. I like the ease and the control of bait cast with the old thumb technique, not just the free spool and hope..

Have never thrown the ned rig but I have a US Reel bait caster which does not have the typical line guide setup. It has a sculptured pickup for line but not the drag with line eyelet and side to side motion. The line also comes off the bottom of the spool and you can adjust the height of the pickup, other than that it only has old screw type drag mechanism. I only suggest this because you can toss a fish doctor a country mile. There is a site on line for its specifications and shows pickup system.

Friday is deadline for DHS funding, will they do the same thing as last time? Close the gates or add road blocks at the entrances, because they can. Funding issues seem to do that even thou its stupid. Last time pretty new signs were posted the day after, coincidence or as planned.

Based on Bills number I may have been a couple of mph more. surprised me, two chubby 150# old farts with some baggage and absolutely no fish. Fishermen have only requirements, a ditch with an enclosure, required by law, ( will provide own paper if required ) A second beach area with sand for launching and a boat with keel guard. Campers go back to generators, oil lanterns or even candles. If they need upscale facilities, provide no-kink garden hose instead of copper from ground to fixture. Raise the fees for them to change hoses yearly. As far as solutions, need new personal at corps, previous problem like flooding at aunts and mill creek which caused flooded to septic and electric due to poor planning of worst conditions possible when building. The cost required by fishermen would have been covered by price for new concrete, posts and gate including labor. Problem solved. What will the next excuse be to shut areas down.

Apparently the corps does not have to abide by the statement on back of pass which states day use is authorized to date posted on front. Should be binding contract upon payment of fees. New government appears to again interrupt the rules and conditions anyway they like.
