  1. After waiting for the weather to warm up and the wind to die down I got on the water around 1230. Went out of state park and fished within a couple of miles of the breakwater. Ended up with 14 between 1230 and 530 including this 7.34 pound beauty. Water temps were 48 to 51. Caught fish on jigs, crank baits and creature baits. Tight Lines!
  2. Thanks Dutch, good to know not all my marbles are loose! 🤪
  3. Last year, on April 12th, we hammered the Crappie in Sons Creek. The 12th is my fathers birthday and I kept wishing he was out fishing with me. And I can promise you the water was much lower than it currently is, it might have been below power-pool. I don’t remember what the water temp was last year on the 12th but the trees/brush that we were fishing are now under “feet’s” of water. I’ll bet MOPanfisher can find the temps & lake levels from this time last year. If you head out this weekend stay warm! Tight Lines!
  4. Did you find any fish yesterday, inquiring minds want to know. :-)
  5. Fished from 730 to 4 o’clock today and easily had over 50 fish, best 5 would’ve gone about 19 including these two girls at 7.1 and 4.9. Water temps in the river started at 46 and ended up finally at 50 by late this afternoon. Crankbaits, jigs and a few spinnerbait fish!!! Could not buy a Crappie today but ended up with one 18 inch walleye that is currently in the hot grease! 😍. Tight Lines All!

  7. Quite the interesting day on the water. We ended up with about 30 which included a small limit. Fished around Roark Bluff and caught them mainly on jigs and crank baits. Don’t know if you heard or not but it took 29 pounds to win Joe Bass yesterday, yes 29 pounds!!! Water temps were 47 to 50°
  8. We were up Wednesday and fished out of Mutton Creek and did not see any dirty water, including the backs of any coves or creeks we were in. We caught a number of fish on crankbaits, jigs and spinnerbaits. Couldn’t get but one crappie to hit and no walleye this trip. Water temps were 48 to 50. Tight Lines!
  9. Ditto Dan! 😎
  10. After a pretty successful day yesterday I thought I would go up and do the same thing again today, NOT!! put in at Cedar Ridge Campground and fished from Cedar Ridge to just south of State Park Marina. Didn’t have my first bite until 11 o’clock and missed that bite, finally caught my first bass at 12:45 and promptly caught another one on the next cast and thought here we go ......NOT. Caught one other bass at 3 o’clock and that was it. Couldn’t buy a bite from the Crappie, just a very tough day on the water. Water temps on the Little Sac were 40 to 43°, Maze Creek looks like hot chocolate and there is a bunch of big timber floating out of the creek and it appears the dirty water line from the Little Sac is just about a half a mile south of Cedar Ridge. The main lake is a little discolored but you can still see 4 or 5 feet. Tight Lines!
  11. 40 to start and we found 45 in the shallow muddied water late in the afternoon.
  12. Fished in and around Mutton Creek and ended up with two beautiful walleye a couple keeper Crappie and a half a dozen largemouth. Swim baits, jerk baits, spoons and jigs ....... Beautiful day on the water!
  13. Very calm day on the water, quite a few white bass and only one Crappie bite. Perhaps I need to fish the tournament tomorrow? Don’t hesitate to throw a jig on the channel swing banks. Water temps were 40 to 43 degrees. Only caught five largemouths, however they were all keepers and would’ve gone about 15 pounds!
  14. Tried to put in this morning about 9 o’clock at Mutton Creek North and the lake was frozen on that side. However the campground side was clear and we were able to launch with no problems. Water temps were 37 all day and we really didn’t do much bass fishing however we ended up with somewhere in excess of 50 white bass and a half a dozen nice Crappie. All the white bass and Crappie were in a 100 yard section in 20 to 25 feet of water. We did talk to another boat this morning that seemed to be catching some pretty nice Crappie in 40 feet of water in Mutton Creek. The key was to find the shad on the bottom, that’s where the fish were holding. We did go by Roark Bluff on our way home and the water in that Cove looked fine and there was a few boats that had launched there. Tight Lines!
  15. Thanks 🔧!!! Any guess if PB2 will be ice free on Friday? Thanks in advance!
  16. Wanting to head up that way and fish on Friday, does anybody have any current information?
  17. Got on the water about 1130 and finished until 430, out of Mutton Creek. I was the only truck and trailer at the North ramp and I saw two other boats on the water today, water temps were right at 40. Spent the first hour trying to find the Crappie I was on last week with not even a nibble to be had. I switched over to bass fishing and the bite was on, I ended up with 13 bass and eight of those kept. I had one that went 6.5 and the photo below she was 4.14. All the fish came in about 100 yard stretch of bank on a channel swing on the main lake. I was fishing creature baits right on the bottom in about 18 to 22 feet. I’m sure this will be my last outing in 2017 with the temps taking a dive starting tomorrow. Tight Lines!

  19. Merry Christmas 🎄🎁 Everybody! It’s been a great year on the water but it appears that there won’t be anymore fishing for me in 2017......sure hope these frigid temps break sooner than later! Tight Lines in 2018!!!
  20. Yes , it’s a Champion. I ended up going back on Thursday and we had a very, very tough day. What a difference a day can make. Merry Christmas 🎁 🎄 everybody!!
  21. Another great day on the water! Caught a limit of unbelievably large Crappie! Also caught a number of nice largemouth and one 17 inch walleye. This time I found them in 28 feet of water on a little channel swing that went from 20 to 28 feet. Dropped the little jig straight down, reeled up about 6 feet off the bottom and whamo! Water temps were about 46 to 48°. The other interesting thing is I caught some of the LMB on a spinner bait, didn’t realize they would hit it when it was this cold. Sure hate to see this cold weather coming in, it’s been a great three day run! Might have to make it four days!!! 😜

  24. I am happy to help others as I usually fish by myself.
  25. Today was one of those days that if you weren’t on the water you should’ve been on the water! Everybody I talked to on the water today was catching a lot of fish. Limits of Crappie limits of bass, what a great day! Today we found the Crappie in 20 feet of water on brush and a bunch of LMB in 8 to 15 feet. Can’t wait to head back up tomorrow!
