We ended up not catching anything on Flicker Shads trolling this past weekend. Caught several walleye bouncing jig/night crawler on deep rocky points. Fished out of Ruark. Zero crappie. Beautiful day though

Thanks for this info Dan. I am heading up next week. While I have caught walleye while crappie fishing I have never targeted them. Using this forum I had planned to try a nightcrawler on a jig head on deep points plus a Flicker Shad. Hope to update with good news. Thanks again

It rained on us last Friday and it really turned the crappie on! That is when we caught most of our fish. The wind was not too bad though.

Nice job. We got into them pretty well over the weekend as well. We put in at Ruark. I kept 10 and all were 11 - 12". Caught ours in 4 - 6 ft as well but on twister tail grubs. Best color was Electric Chicken. Bonus walleye keeper as well.

I have been planning to several times but friends keep side tracking me to crappie fishing. I know one person that was down on Friday and did pretty well with black w boogers

Thanks for the report HT. I am hoping to be at to CC area this Friday to find some crappie and white bass ( or anything that bites for that matter ). I was worried this cold front would shut them down.

Thanks for the update on the creek. We have had some rain as well but has not had any affect on our streams and creeks. We need some run off. They are predicting more rain this weekend, hopefully that will help. Hopefully the McClouds are not getting to stressed to effect their spawn.

Just checking in to see if anyone has been down to the creek lately. Last time is was down it was pretty low and clear. While we have had a little rain where I am not sure if has help the conditions around Crane? Thanks

CC was froze up yesterday, Sunday, but Ruark was open. Caught a few crappie on black and chart Sliders.

Thinking about heading up to find a crappie tomorrow afternoon. Has anyone been by CC area and noticed how the ice is? Just in the coves or is the channel frozen at all? Thanks in advance.
