not a good start. tight zone for Shields early, but the 3-2 fastball to Pence with an open base was pretty much the ballgame. Bumgarner is one heck of a pitcher, got the royals batters out with balls out of the zone all night. Must win game 2, luckily for the royals they have their ace going.

I agree with this. I think Smoltz is way better than Darling. I think one day we will see Smoltz and Buck in the Fox booth together.

Cards got out coached Matheny made some terrible decisions in this series IMO. Bochy will most likely out coach Yost as well, but the royals are so hot it may not matter.

the best thing about this series being over is that I don't have to listen to Ron Darling and Cal Ripken anymore.

Herrera and Davis won that game for em last night. They were lights out and stopped the bleeding long enough for the royals to recoup

The Royals will need to bring their big bats too, especially in that little ballpark in Baltimore.

Yeah, stupidity is stupidity, no matter how you slice it up. As for the game this weekend, Vegas apparently doesn't think it hurts GA as Mizzou opened as 3 point dogs and still are....

I like the 4 team playoff. Better than the computer format. The best thing about college football is that every regular season conference game is huge. Basically every other sport you can win 2 out of every 3 games you play and make the playoffs. Not in college football

I think Alex is better than average. He's no Aaron Rodgers, but is he better than Jay Cutler, Matt Stafford...??? He doesn't have the arm strength that those guys do, but that gets those guys in trouble sometimes. I expect a big day from Alex this weekend against his former team.

Cornerback play will be a big part of this game. I assume they will stack 7-8 in the box on first and second down and our corners will be 1on1. Not going to stop Gurley, but if they can score some points early they may be able to get them out of the running game and make em throw it.

Hey, if we can beat GA then we gotta be the fav in the east. Could lose 2 more games and still win it. If a 3 loss east team pulled off the upset in Atlanta, would they get in the playoff?

Im all for throwing Ray Rice in jail however.....I'm on the other side of the fence on Adrian Peterson. I had my rear whooped with switches, belts, paddles, pretty much anything my mom could get her hands on the fastest. and I learned real quick that there were consequences to my actions.

I don't know exactly what happened after the punch/dragging that night. I heard they were both given misdemeanors. I dont think anybody went to jail. I guess if she had pressed charges Ray would be looking at some jail time. I'll jump all over Goodell for making a bonehead move. Dude makes millions of dollars to not make bonehead moves. He covered this up, and for what?

Mizzou/Ark game should be a rivalry game. Needs to be a rivalry game.. II think it would be good for both programs and the fans. They need to call it something and give the winning team something for winning like a goat or pig or something cool. I've already got my ticket to the game, day after Thanksgiving. A&M is not going to be a bad team, too well coached. Too much talent. You put up 50 at SC and you've done something. A&M +9.5 in that game was probably the lock of the year, too bad I was asleep at the wheel on that one.
