The Hogs were very impressive!! They made the Vols look like a High School team. The triple option really threw them for a loop. By the way when a good looking blond picks you up you forget where you parked your truck. It took me a half a hour to figure out where I parked. And as most of you know if you wonder around in the dark in those hills around the stadium you get very tired! But it was worth it!!!!!!!!!!!!

Dano, I went to the game!! Whooo we what a great game!!! I parked about a mile from the stadium and was going to walk and this nice lady picked us up. She was one of the coaches wifes. Dianna Shebest. We got front row delivery to the stadium. Good game!!

It was Friday free for all!!! I got down to the river at around 6AM. There were about ten people fishing. Not bad. No water running. I started above the rebar hole at the corner. Started great! Used a SanJuan shamie worm. Caught one after the other for about two hours. Lost a Hog!! He jumped out of the water in front of me to say NA NA! Pretty fish over 10lbs easy. I finely looked up to see how many people were there then. 40+!! The outlets were full of people! The snagging was awful! I moved down a little and a guy moved into the spot that I was at and right away he had a real nice fish hooked, hooked in the belly! He had to take some pictures of him and his prize. I watched a while and saw him snag at least three other nice fish. I wish I hadn't seen this. It kind of put a wet blanket on the day. I watched a guy up at two pick up a fish about four pounds with the line and try to shake it off and then kick it back into the deeper water. I'm not sure I'm going back in the day time until it gets very cold and the warm weather people stop coming down so I don't see some of these things. Notice I said "people" they aren't fishermen. I want to end this on a good note. I did enjoy talking to the young man from KC that was just starting to fly fish! Please don't learn from what you saw today with some of these people.

If she was a member we would probly have to be calling 911 for him!! And we are all named Lilley! Sorry Phil! I'm hiding!

I've been in Walmart before and thought I was going to have to call 911 before. I don't know how they hide so well. I can do my best to hide and poof she's there!!

Phil don't change a thing!! I've trout fished all my life and being a part of this forum is one of the best things I've had to help me get to be a better fisherman. I've got to meet a lot of really good people and anything good makes ones life better. I like to treat this forum like I do the TV. If I don't find intrest in it I don't watch it. This is a great forum!! It's got a lot less drama in it than my house!! I've got three girls.

Well let me ask it this way! What size woolies and what size bunnies are catching fish??

Try some small woolies and san jaun worms. It's about what ever you want to try will work. The big boys you might try some bunnies. ?Tim's Fly shop. What days will the park be open for C&R this fall and winter?? I've heard a couple of ways and I don't know what's going on. Thanks

OK,everyone lets leave PETA out of this. True PETA wouldn't even want us sport fishing at all. So Smile! and don't get defensive, everyone has a view and they have a right to that view.

Now that this can of worms is open. I want to thank Phil for giving everyone the right and freedom to post their oppinon on this great web site. The respect that everyone shows is remarkable! My father told me that eveyone has a oppinon and whether you agree with it or not you have to have respect for them. That's what is becoming a growing problem with our country these days,very little respect for your fellow man. I'm thankful that the people that post on this web site are honest and good folks. And it does my heart good to read it!! Thanks again Phil!!! P.S. If the big one isn't going to make it never waste it.

I wanted to ask opinions on the C&R on Taney. Before anyone gets bent lets be nice and NO name calling. PLEASE I don't have any problem with people keeping some fish to eat. But keep the smaller fish. Big fish are for the most part are not very good eating. I've fished on Taney for quite a while and I've seen lots of big fish caught and turned loose and to be able to see this done makes me feel so good for the person and for the fish. But if some day I catch a huge Brown like Rick's Hog. I will have to make a hard decision. And I have to be honest I don't know what I would do.

Is RR going to have a Derby Day or did I miss it?

I can Friday night or Saturday night! I work split shifts on Fridays and this week I'm working mornings this week or I would!! Durn!

I fished Monday morning and they were running some water. I caught a couple browns and was getting frustrated and decided to go to Roaring River. I have never seen so many fish in the fly area ever!!! They were stacked!!! I got to fish a couple of hours caught 20+ and called it a day. Great day for fishing!

Just wanted to remind everyone and invite everyone to Bennett on the 25th. It should be great rain or shine. It will be good to meet everyone. I think we are meeting around the Pool area around 10:30am for a cook out. Please correct me about the meeting area and time if I'm wrong.

I was down at Roaring River a couple of weeks ago and was doing well and a dad and his son were fishing and not catching anything. I called the young boy to come over and they both just looked at me like "what"? I had to call to him at least 3 times to come over. Finely they both looked around and walked down to me. I gave them a couple of small woolies that I was having a great day with. The dad just looked at me and finely said "Thanks we aren't used to someone helping or being frendly. I hope that it helped them but more over I was kind of embarrassed that they felt that way. Pay it forward! I wouldn't be able to catch fish if it wasn't for someone showing me the way! My dad for one!! Thanks daddy!!
