  1. Nice report. Sounds like a good day for sure.
  2. Andrew, the king of the long drift! He taught me well for sure...Fish with you soon buddy.
  3. Call Justin for sure, get a boat. I have tried to wade that river a few times. He has a nice kayak for rent. I think it's called a Coosa.
  4. I'm a fan of Jadwin. They have always provided good service.
  5. I Like C...but add a Trout. Just my opinion.
  6. The folks at Jadwin Canoe are very nice. I have had them shuttle me in late fall many times and I was their only client of the day. On some bad days on the Current, when nothing seemed to work, putting on the right colored egg will never fail. Hooked some of my largest 20+" Browns with the egg. It's a solid go to when things get slow.
  7. Nice Brown Sir.
  8. Throw a coffee brown rubber leg stonefly. Yanked a nice 20" Brown in some fast water below the park last weekend.
  9. Fish below Tan Vat to Baptist. Not a lot of floaters putting in at Tan Vat.
  10. Did the same thing I assume you did 2 years ago. Set my rod outside of the car and drove off. Got to Salem, went back, it was gone. $400 loss
  11. OKE, You may be able to camp at Parker Ford down from Baptist. Its on the river,
  12. Thank you Justin for putting this together. I hope we can do this again next year. I will certainly be back down soon. You were very generous and I will send you the good vino for you and Amy soon. Best Regards Michael
  13. Leaving STL around noon, should be there in good time. As long as we don't stop and fish before we get there. I just need a campsite for two small tents. I was not sure how many people are coming. Let me know if I need to put a deposit down. But the Brats are from LeGrands butcher shop in South City. My buddy is bringing his pontoon..hope to get on a drift, but will settle for a canoe and wading. That's how I've always rolled down there. Look forward to meeting you Justin.
  14. I'll bring some brats to throw on the grill and tater salad for tomorrow night.
  15. Nice browns. Thanks for posting.
  16. This sounds like a great time. I plan on coming down. My buddy is bringing his single man pontoon, so I may need a canoe or hopefully lend a hand in a drift. If someone has room, please let me know your beer of choice! I also have a GoPro to shoot vid's down there.

    Advice

Just got back from there this afternoon. The water is perfect. Enjoy. The rainbows were slamming the egg, switched to streamers mid morning, had a few chases but no hook up. Elk hair was getting nice hits late morning. Rubber legs worked well also. Have a great time.
  18. Welcome..Nice Pic's! Thanks for sharing.
  19. Thanks Matt for all of your hard work. I joined a few days ago!
  20. That S bend was a mess last Fall when floating below Baptist. I fished above Baptist to Tan Vat a week ago and there were some missing root wads below the ledge. The fishing was great, the water was a little up and a little murky. I was planning on floating from Baptist to Cedar this coming weekend. I got a call from Jadwin Canoe informing me that as of today, the river was closed to floating. I'm sure it will come down by next Saturday if they don't get anymore rain. I'm not against anymore rain, but I would love to see how the river has changed.
  21. We had an good day on that stretch. Let me know if I can be of any help. I had the same problem with frozen fingers. Try a little silicone on the guides, just try and not to get it on your line.
  22. I like the Musky lure idea...that would be epic.
