Caught 2 14 1/2 inch crappies at Aldrich all day Saturday. Minnows tight next to brush, they arent there yet but the two that were caught were monsters compared to Pomme crappies weve been catching. Fished steel bridge and caught 11 Saturday, biggest 18 inches. Caught on white grubs on 1/8 head, most caught on a suspending rapala in ghost minnnow color. Fished aldrich again sunday but bailed because it was rediculous packed. The fish arent there yet anyways. Not a single bite at the cedar ridge dock either. Usually would be disheartening, but it just lets me know I can wack crappie the whole time they are goin this year.

I agree. If you cut that nasty red crap off its good stuff. I actually enjoyed it after getting burnt out on crappie. Battering it with mustard instead of egg REALLY helps also.

i would but i didnt know if it would change the way the frog is supposed to collapse in a hookset. ill mess with it for a while maybe itll catch a few til i can get a livetarget frog

Looking for good baitcast or spinning combos people have to get rid of. Lew Plueger Falcon Rods St Croix all that good stuff. I need a reliable set up to use, dont wanna buy low tier new.

i got an h20 series frog from academy and it fills up with water at the end of every cast. such a pain...

i keep hearing stories about how theres IS tons of crappie there, yet ive never got into them like that. Ive caught and 11 1/2 out of there and that made me believe that they are there, but ive not seen the numbers. id like to fish the river channel up by the steel walking bridge but no boat.

I think it has A LOT to do with fishing pressure.

There are crappies in the river. a guy by the screen name winkiedoodles seems to tear them to shreds in the videos he posts on youtube. Lucky you. Senko fishing only comes second to top water in my book. Where they suckin them down?

The only time i ate a bass I tasted plastic in one of the fillets and I considered even and never did it again lol

The fishing reports on here certainly help me how to determine how Im gonna tackle em. You always have to what you think will work but I dont leave home without checking.

They always troll small spinnerbaits over the tops of grass and wood on the next bite.

Aldrich is filling up. You can catch crappies there but no numbers and what you catch will be dinks. Id go to the river and tear up some whites.

Their fishing report is a joke. It would be helpful if maybe they talked to more people or fished themselves because none of their advice is anything like people tell me whats working and what I figure out on the lake.

Caught crappie on them at Springfield lake. The only thing they were bitin when it was bitter cold. Weird.

There has to be a better way to manage that lake to increase success rates on catches.

Went today and caught 16 whites and a walleye. They were hammerin down on chart grubs.

Caught 16 White bass at steelbridge on grubs (friend caught a stringer with two on it). All pretty big size. Most were close to bank and they would hammer it when you would catch one. Went to taylor and my buddy pulled two whites out within five minutes and we left there because it was pretty busy. Caught a walleye in some strong current at 215 bridge. 16" not big, but eater size for my first walleye ever caught. Pretty good day on the water. Can add a pic of the stringer also.

im gonna go tomorrow and try my luck. last time i watched everyone around me slaying them this time ill leave with something or die trying.

howd you have that worm rigged? i picked up some purple and multicolor flake worms about the same size.
