I probably saw you at some point, i was in a red bass tracker, trying to get out of the wind driving all over the place. My aluminum boat gets blown all over the place pretty easy

Fished from 11-3. Fished a little bit if everything. Had one come off at the boat on a squarebill. Only caught 4 but they were all keepers. Right at 15". 3 were on a football jig missouri craw with a green pumpkin speed craw, one on a shakey head with a plum color trick worm. All fish were around 15 fow. 2 around big rock with timber and 2 on gravel. Water temp 76-78. Should have probably Started earlier and stayed later. Tons of gar everywhere. And lots of minnows or shad. Tr

Coming Down To Bull Shoals
aarchdale@coresleep.com replied to boatgasandminnows's topic in Upper Bull Shoals
We always stay at the Sugarloaf Inn at Diamond city 50-65 per night depending on if you want a kitchen or cabin. (870)422-7144).You can back your boat right in front of your room and plug in at night. I like my boat being close to me. Owners are very nice. Not fancy, but clean. The launch ramp is 1/4 mile from them. And there is a great place for breakfast within walking distance. There are a few resorts in the Diamond City area all are pretty equal in cost. -
Free Shipping Is Expensive And Flicker Minnows
aarchdale@coresleep.com replied to LarryC's topic in Beaver Lake
23' with 8lb flouro is the best i have got, not as much luck with them as flicker shads on Bull Shoals for me. I did have a giant break me off never got a look at him though -
Selling My Boat - Tracker Pro Team
aarchdale@coresleep.com replied to tjhooker's topic in Beaver Lake
They are great boats for anyone who is looking, i literally bought your boats twin 3 weeks ago -
I just got a new boat with a 597 DI up front that didn't work so I went and got a new transducer which I only bought the sonar because the DI was twice as much as the other and I had DI on my last boat and could really care less....anyhow now my depth doesn't read. It always says 95 ft. So I was thinking maybe the depth reading is tied in some how with the DI.. The sonar is working perfectly now. I'll be interested in what you find out.

Got me. Bass tracker 175 a couple days ago. I think those are the only ones that no one complains about. Hahaha lil 60 horse with no wake or Noise. I've been in everyone's shoes. I used to wakeboard every other day and now I fish every other day. Biggest problem I saw was when fisherman when go into cow On a nice Calm evening. WELL of course that's where the pleasure boats are gonna be it has a ski course in it. And now I'm just as annoyed as the next bass fisher about the wakes. And it has only been 3 years since I have done the wakeboard thing. So the moral of the story is deal with it.....no 1 person can please anyone and take in consideration other people and be as good as you can out there. Treat them how you want to be treated. And keep in mind boys, it's turning fall and we are about to get our lake back haha.....No one Will Ever win this battle between pleasure boats and fisherman.

Stick to your plan no telling what a couple cool days will bring. I think everyone is wondering the same thing. I sure am. If top waters don't pay off, they bite jigs all year. Time will tell. Good luck

Nice Flat Head
aarchdale@coresleep.com replied to aarchdale@coresleep.com's topic in Upper Bull Shoals
That's absolutely rediculas. It's always the city people that say stuff like than. And they usually say it's the catfish by the dam. Biggest myth in fishing has to be the man eating catfish by the dam. I usually just end the conversation there -
any part, not real familiar with it but kinda wanting to explore some new territory

Does anyone have any suggestions for a resort to stay at. Im pretty open to any place on Stockton not partial to any part of the lake. Not looking for a 5 star pricey cabin just a place to catch some zzzzz's when i get done fishing that is close to the water

My brother got this nice 23 pounder. He got to the lake a day before i did and decided to free dive a little bit. he said it was under a small brush pile in around 20'. So on his first dive he came up with this one.. For the folks that dont spear fish getting one like this on a free dive is 1 in 10,000. I dont know how many miles of lake we have dove this year and havent came across one that big. After i got down there we put a few nice crappie in the boat saw a few short walleye and they were actually just sitting dead still all camo'd up trying to blend with the bottom. Usually when we see walleye they are always on the move. Thermocline was right at about 38'. The water is very warm all the way down to 38. Crappie were in 20 ft, bass were scattered all through the column down to the thermocline. Bass were still real tight to cover along with the crappie

Diamond City Dive Report
aarchdale@coresleep.com replied to aarchdale@coresleep.com's topic in Upper Bull Shoals
they are hit an miss, i wouldnt go and rely on them being able to fill. we tried that a couple times and the person working didnt know how. My brother and i are working on getting a compressor and we know someone that has an air bank...it wont be this year but if we do get somthing put together i will definitely let ya know. i have been down there a few times for dive trips and they were cut short due to the the marina that works on there own schedule, hate to talk bad about it but it is the truth....dont advertise unless you can fill the bill...Diamond is my fav place to dive........and to my knowledge they do not rent tanks -
I used the flicker minnow all weekend on 8lb flouro an the deepest I could get it to go was about 20' trolling between 2.5 and 3 mph. Had only one real nice eye that broke me off. And a couple bass here and there.

Diamond City Dive Report
aarchdale@coresleep.com replied to aarchdale@coresleep.com's topic in Upper Bull Shoals
Yeah as long as I'm not in the muck layer I should be able to get some. Below that it gets pretty dark. But most the bass and crappie aren't down in it -

Yes the bass were suspended didn't see to many hanging on the bottom. That one cedar I came up on I had to sit there and take it all in. So many bass and crappie scattered through it. I really wish I had a camera. I'll be sure to take one next time and get some pics -

Not a one. Actually I have never seen one in the last 3 years since I started diving. Haven't even thought about them until you mentioned it. I'll ask my brother if he has seen any. He has dove Bull for 15 years. My dad did catch one lat year up towards K-Dock -
Water temp 88-90 Thermocline is setting up Between 28-32 10' vis above thermo 20' under thermo My brother and I got a limit of walleye and 6 nice crappie and a nice channel in two dives this Morning. All fish were found on a bluff with timber. Didn't see hardly anything yesterday on gravel and chunky points. Carp suckers and Drum are thick I'm thinking they eat zebra Muscles we saw a lot Of them that were Freshly cracked open. All walleye were in the " muck layer". 26-32 kinda depends where you are in the lake. Bass are everywhere that there Is timber. Hard to believe people That say they catch them in 40'. Never saw a thing that deep. All out crappie were held tight in cedars that we found that someone has sunk. Catfish were in 25 or Less. Shot one nice Channel and saw 3 nice flathead. That's pretty .....much my trip

Im thinking about pulling the trigger on one real soon, been looking at the 1966 CCT DLX. They are kinda hard to come by around here. I did see one in person that was a side console and i just couldnt believe how big and roomy they are. http://www.g3boats.com/gator_tough_deluxe_center_console_prop_tunnels

Went out on Lake springfield the other day and my buddy caught this one. Looks awful fat for this time of year. Caught a few others and they all looked normal. Even saw pics from another buddy on the lake and none of his fish looked to be overly fat. The tail on this one even looks as if it is a little bloody

We Mainly stay on the main Lake usually start on a point work our way around it and then down a bluff line. It didnt really seem to matter just needed trees or brush. We have went back in coves but the bottom is usually a silty muddy leafy mix and visibility is poor. I like to bass fish a lot but when its this hot i would rather be underwater. It def changes the way you fish after you go diving, if we find something neat or that holds fish we will mark it on our map. My brother actually has a little balloon thing he will fill with air and send up so the guy on the boat can mark the spot. Some of those points he would be 100' feet out and still be in 25' of water and find little brush piles so we always take note.

Agreed Ham. I could understand an channel and blue getting a little confused. But not a flattie

Well I had a smaller flat head in te cooler next to that or and I can assure you it was a channel. The flattie a were colored up very brown almost muddy looking. Must just be the angle. Once I get to my computer I'll put up a pic at a differnt angle. Didn't take any of the flat rad he wast very big but still had a lot of meet on him
