I fish Bull a lot, i dont really know the guides, but the good news is there are crappie and walleye from dam to dam. I dont think there is a lot of unproductive water. A lot of it depends on where you are staying. Bull stretches out a long ways. Del Colvin is a guide I think is mainly out of the dam area. Jordan Isaacs is a guide that does a lot on Bull on Table Rock. He is always posting limits of huge Crappie. If you have Facebook go to Bull Shoals lake crappie talk. I think its curiosity. I know from diving the bass love to just come up and hang out next to you. We used to sit at the bottom and ding a rock on our tanks the bass would come right up to check it out. And whenever your diving if you look back it always seem like you have a trail of bass just following along. I've always said this but if your an avid bass fisherman you need to do some diving in our lakes just to see how many big ones there are. 3-5 pounders every single time you go down

I had to replace my axle a couple months ago and did away with my surge brakes. They were nice when I towed with my little 2 door Jeep but my 3/4 ton doesn't really care if there is a 19 ft boat back there. Also a lot easier to change a hub on the side of the road now if need be. I would be more worried about getting my bearing freshened up if its been a while if your going on a long trip. That being said I have some extra calipers that were pretty new if anyone wants them. I've fished upper Bull so much and I would see Buster out on guide trips and ill be honest I watched him and tried doing what he did. Never worked for me, That guy was a master at his craft. Not sure if the guy is on this site but I always see post of "Reds Guide Service" on facebook and he is flat smashing the walleye on Table Rock.

Yeah, if I had a day like you did I would be going back too. Those were some good looking crappie. Those crappie in Flat Creek and the Bridgeport area just get so much pressure constantly. I know in the last couple years I catch about 10 shorts to 1 keeper. Used to I could go there and get a limit no problem

Tons of guys out in the creek channels in 16-30 ft crappie fishing. I only saw one guy catch one. I tried for a little bit but those little smallmouth had me going right back to the bank hoping for a bigger one. I graphed a lot of them out in the open water. I just didnt have the right stuff with me to even try.

I remember Babler had a big write up on the Float-N-Fly and i made a big box with all the stuff years ago, I kinda use it for crappie too but man the bass eat it up. Is it just a long lost technique these day?

Well, its been almost 2 months since my trailer messed up and took that long to get one. I finally got it and the drop on the spindle was wrong so my wheels and tires were to big and sat on the fenders. I had my old wheels and tires and with some fender adjustment I made it work. Took the downtime to Wire in a new Lithium Battery for my graphs, network them all, and ad a 12" up front. So today I went today with intentions of fishing deep and playing with the new graph, but it just didn't feel right, Every boat I saw was out in the abyss casting into open water. So I went to the bank and cranked and had it all to myself. If your a bank beater you have plenty of free water since no ones uses it anymore. I did catch the biggest 3.41 on a float-n-fly. And all the rest on Cranks. Fished mainly in Flat Creek, water was dirty at the mouth but very clear once you got in there with 48 degree water. Ended up with 12 smallmouth with only one being a keeper and all the rest were 10-12 inches, but they were flat eating it. One Keep Largemouth and some short spots. Felt good to get out again, even though it was only for 4 hours. Everything I caught was under 6ft of water
