  1. Ok , I didn’t realize that . Thanks
  2. How are the boat launchers at Bolivar Landing and Nemo? Have they pulled the courtesy docks?
  3. Anyone been to Coffman's or High Point to fish from the bank since all the rain. Went last weekend and you couldn't even access the road that goes to Coffman's. Like to catch some late spawners but I'm afraid all the rain has messed that up ...
  4. Might be interested when it warms up a little Brad not sure I'm coordinated enough to paddle and fish. But I'm sure I'd be in the water before it's over with.lol
  5. Haven't seen much on here about bank fishing so thought I would post. Went Tuesday last week to Coffman Branch. Got there about 5:30pm and fished to 8:15. Had 5 keepers and a couple shorts. One had eggs but were immature. The game warden that checked me said they were just getting going. I hope she was right. Went back to same place this Monday but water was muddy ,full of debris and wind was high until 7 or so. Hooked into what I think was a good walleye but got hung up on a piece of wood and lost him. Dang. Only caught 1 keeper crappie and returned it back for later. On a side note I had a boat for a couple years and had to sell it. If anyone wants company some time give me a yell. Not real experienced at walleye fishing but would love to learn. Be glad to pay my way for some good company and experience. I'm easy going and would be willing to take a day off during the week it that works better. Thanks and good luck all.
  6. Fished from the bank Saturday morning at Kaufman branch (Aldrich area). Had 3 nice crappie before 7:30 then nothing, completly shut off. Took the boat Sunday afternoon to CC but had a fuel leak and had to fish from the bank again, glad I dragged it all the way up there for nothing. Fished off the old bridge road across from the launch and had 8 keepers between my brother and I. All the eggs were firm. Should be good in the next week or so. Going to try again Friday if I can get the boat working.
  7. I'd be in I don't have a boat, but could team up. Ron I would be glad to fish with ya. Not great at jigging but I usally catch some on minnows. Email me @ ibdgolfman@yahoo.com.
  8. Yeah just can't seem to get on them this year. The few I caught last week had firm eggs as well. Keep thinking I'll catch more than a handful but guess I'm just getting straglers. I think your are right sandbc the weather has them not knowing weather they are coming or going. Kind of how I feel. On a positive note I have caught more eyes this year than I've caught total in the past. Just blind luck while trying to catch crappie. Need to learn how to catch them they are as good as cappie. Untill Saturday I didn't even catch any shorts, everything I did have was around 11 or bigger. Strange year I thought it was going to be great. Maybe they will hit it hard the next couple weeks. I've caught a lot of spawning crappie in May in past years. Good luck and keep wetting your line we'll get on them eventually.
  9. Yeah I started to go Thursday but decided to wait until the weekend. Only caught on keeper crappie and two keeper eyes. But had the boys and women with me so I didn't really get to fish. They had fun getting hung up though. Oh well should have went with my gut felt like Thursday would have been a good day. I need to invest in a boat, never had one but seems like you have to get lucky off the bank unless they are on full spawn. Think I'll take off Thursday and Friday looks like good weather. Maybe I'll see ya, Think I'll try there, someplace different than High point or Coffman. Say hey if you see me, I'm in a white f150. Good luck.
  10. Sounds like fun. I caught a few nice ones Wednesday night at Coffman. Didn't tear it up but better than it has been, seeing I've only had one crappie and a couple eyes the last two trips. Were you off the gravel road too the northwest, right before you cross the bridge at Aldrige? I used to walk over the hill there with my day and fish the ledges about half way up. I never went all the way to the lake on the road.
