  1. Yep peaked above 1600 CFS at 215 bridge this morning... The whites should be on the move shortly! Anybody over around the river, will it be fishable tomorrow or is it completely muddyed up for a couple of days? Thanks! Thinking about giving it a shot tomorrow
  2. I hope they get a "ton" of rain over there this weekend... The bite has been ridiculously tough thus far (find fish one day and then absolutely nothing the next) but if we could get a solid rain I believe a guy could catch several around Taylor. Good luck when you go and let us know how it goes!
  3. Water is real low but the 8 days of 65 plus has it ridiculously warm for this time of year. This cold snap isn't supposed to last but a couple of days so you should be able to find a few in the river pretty soon.
  4. Yes it was
  5. How muddy has this rain made the river? Had been planning a fishing trip in the morning but don't want to drive all the way there if the river is rolling mud.
  6. Also you can catch several crappie and whites in the little sac during the fall as well.
  7. In the springtime there is a great white bass run in the little sac river and there is lots of bank access to fish.
  8. Planning on floating from 215 to Taylor Saturday if the river doesn't muddy up tonight. I was over there Tuesday night and there were still plenty of whites... wondering if they were still around or if the party is over. Thanks for any info!
  9. Good luck and I look forward to hearing future reports!
  10. I've never had any luck finding them in numbers much below Taylor. I don't know why but I can only catch a fish here and a fish there. If you do get the kayak over there just take it up to the gravel bar above Taylor and fish in riffles on the S-curve
  11. 6lbstest, did you find any whites this morning? I went back this afternoon and they were still at the top of the S-curve.
  12. I was a couple eddies below the railroad bridge when we got into them. Normally we put the canoe in at 215 and and take out at Taylor and do real well around the railroad bridge and the next couple of eddies below it. This year the fish just hadn't made it up that far in good numbers last time we were there. So I have been putting the little jonboat in at Taylor and using my trolling motor to go up.
  13. Had to go a little further upstream last night but we found lots of fish again, including a bonus walleye I caught on my first cast. Gotta love spring!
  14. They were right above the S-curve above Taylor this weekend. Gonna try it again tonight and see if they are still there.
  15. In case you haven't heard, whites are thick in the Little Sac now.
  16. At least we caught our limit of whites before we got back and found out what had happened. We have parked there many times over the years with no problems... I mean accidents happen, that's fine but take responsibility for those actions. Don't nail someone's car and then drive off before anybody can call you out on what happened. My fiance accidentally broke someone's trailer light backing up our rig at the lake one time, we left 30 bucks and our number to call if that wasn't enough to cover the light.
  17. Met my dad at Taylor this morning, parked the vehicles and headed upstream in the boat. While we were gone apparently someone backed into the front of his car, busted the plastic on the front and dented and scratched the fender. People like this are the reason that there are "No Trespassing" signs everywhere on the banks of the Little Sac now.
  18. Decided to head to Taylor after work Friday afternoon. On my way I stopped at 215 and fished for 20 minutes or so, not a nibble. I got to Taylor right around 5:15 and took the boat to the mud bank straight across from the parking lot. Fished for awhile with no action so I kept moving up river and BINGO finally found more than 1 fish in the same spot. I tied the boat up and proceeded to catch my limit within the next hour. It felt good to finally catch fish on consecutive casts. I was using a purple swimming minnow on an eight ounce lead head. Now the bad news, went back Saturday morning to the same spot and caught 6 more pretty quickly, then that was it. I fished around Taylor for 4 or 5 hours and did end up catching 14 so definitely could have been worse. Fished for forever for that 15th fish but couldn't get bit anywhere.
  19. You catch lots of whites below the 215 bridge but I have honestly never even fished above it. I'm sure when there's enough water you catch them well above it.
  20. I didn't have a chance to report after I got home yesterday afternoon so sorry this is a little late. We got to 215 right at daylight Saturday morning and started off with a white before we even got the boat in the water. We followed that up with a 17 inch walleye soon after, then everything slowed down quite a bit. We would catch a fish or 2 as we floated through each eddy but no concentration of fish anywhere. Got to the takeout at Taylor and we had 17 whites and 2 walleye between 3 of us.
  21. Thanks for the report slab slinger. I am headed over that direction first thing tomorrow morning with a couple of my buddies and hopefully the whites are ready to cooperate. And a walleye or 2 wouldn't hurt my feelings any either.
  22. Went this morning with my future father in law. We put in at 215 and floated down to Taylor, ended up with 24 whites and a walleye. No concentration of fish anywhere but caught 2 or 3 in each eddy. The bite was very light, missed more fish than we caught.
  23. I've cleaned several females caught from the Little Sac this year and none of them have been anywhere close to spawning, they are just starting in the river and the best is yet to come!
  24. I wouldn't unload anything from a trailer on Taylor ramp anymore. There is a 3 or 4 foot drop off into the water at the bottom of the ramp.
  25. Figured I better get out this morning and try it before the big rain hits... Really had to work for it but ended up catching a limit.
