It's a proven fact that those who live off the land are happier than those cooped up in the fighting traffic day after day to get to their jobs in a cube with no windows. http://ozarkstories.com/rollands-blog-2/

Rolland Love replied to mic's topic in Jack's Fork River
I LOVE the upper Jacks Fork and have floated it at least 50 times. When i was young i helped my uncle run a fishing camp down stream from the highway 17 bridge and i woudl guide tourist from the prongs. Here is a download Audio version of a trip i make on the upper Jacks Fork it's called "Fishing the outer Limit" I wrote this one because a friend and I and 2 little dogs were attacked by a cottonmouth snake. There are also other Ozark stories on the CD http://tinyurl.com/3v3qabq Here is text version of the upper Jacks Fork trip and other Ozark stories as well. https://www.smashwords.com/books/view/17203 http://ozarkstories.com/ - This time of the year there are many cottonmouth water mossican snakes in the upper part of the rivers because so few humans venture up that way. Be wise to pack a revolver just in case. -

http://ozarkstories.com/ Reviews "To understand Overland Park writer Rolland Love, think Mark Twain." Nick Kowalczyk, The Kansas City Star. “Glad to hear a sequel is in the works. I read Blue Hole to my boys this summer on a gravel bar on Current River, really spooked them for a while! Excellent book.” Jim McCarty, Editor - Rural Missouri Magazinehttp://ruralmissouri.coop/ The Hannibal Courier Post, oldest newspaper in Missouri where Mark Twain worked as a printer’s devil, published a serialized version of the Blue Hole in its entirety and the story received excellent reader response. “Mark Twain would have loved this excellent adventure of two brothers. Doc has disappeared and it’s up to Tommy (15) and Dub (12) to go to Blue Hole and see if they can find him. This is a story about growing up. About facing your fears and standing up to them and about doing the right thing even when everything inside you wants to turn and run. This story has everything. The dreaded Conner brothers, Buzzard Thompson, ghost, snakes, cave, bats and dead bodies everywhere. I thoroughly enjoyed every page of this masterfully constructed story.” Jonathan David Masters, Freelance Reviewer “Blue Hole is a great book and will make a great movie.” (Mark Twain meets Deliverance.)
