  3. For side imaging transducer on trolling motor motor doesn't spin freely to loose side imaging so badly problem with this is fishing in rollers targeting structure trolling motors typically come up and out of water switch allowed si on bow and transducer on transom shared with 2d puck I run a 2d on transom Currently and reads at medium speeds eventually 360 imaging came out on market and this has changed now you can add multiple Ethernet type connections between multiple sonars I beleive to each his own Scott but with the switch you have the ability to switch off when a puck is broken off by a mishap the y cable I thot came with helixs in box but the end thot seems to be for me si is no longer needed 610 way points and mapping cards installed and I don't really need it however I am still interested in the chirp systems and wonder if they are any better
  4. Bull shoals has huge fish Dan but it seems to me to get to close to one down there it would have to be in low light conditions of some sort or be blind ! I fished down there a lot as a young man and there are spots you can see brush and your flasher say it's 18 ft deep Very weird clear water my drinking water doesn't seem that clear or C Be i up in a colored water creek or such I've always heard from great anglers Kings river we installed a geo unit not far from eagle rock a few weeks ago i ate lunch on a bluff in sleet over looking the eagle rock marina you need to see this water It looks great also on way home we crossed kings and it looked awesome also hope you get a trip up that way !!
  5. Part number for the switch is (TS3 / 720070-1 ) think you'll like it myself should cost about 48.00 this will also allow you to run the side image unit on bow thru the same switch As for the irregular picture with transducer on rolling motor a lot of people do this but they tighten there cables abit on foot pedal to stiffennit abit kelly powers did mine I went to a tournament the next morning I got to my first stop and stood on the pedal and it never budged Kelly out weighs me a lot Haha when he stood on it it moved freely
  6. Looks similar to pad of my boat I like how you chose to mount it but I definitly see the possible cavitating water problems if this is something you want to work with consider a second shot thru the hull with a switch between the 2 ducers i have a question for you How do you like the si operation on the trolling motor ? As I'm considering running 2 this year
  7. BUMP ......I had minor back surgery this morning I signed on in complete boardum no more walleye talk??? Either hi-jack me or continue this awesome thread! DPRICE
  8. I personally think you should swap them i find a lot of stuff approaching and leaving my banks as for losing reading in motion could it be in clean water contact does the pad of this boat step up at all? I have a feeling that the lower you set the puck the better it will be also you need to note rising position and also floating position of this particular rig for angle of puck installed i have helixs my di reads fair to 35-40 depending a lot on water surfaces if you want it to read like a flasher at 60-70 better buy a flasher But shoot this isn't necessary at all as for gluing transducer down in bilge area it will work for the 2d sonar but will not work for di with clean images consider these thoughts and move the puck lower and in cleaner water
  9. To be honest I have forgot ? Think i remember but really not sure enough to be accurate thats some of my trouble with fishing When I had a surgery that went real bad and for what ever reason I lost a lot memory especially the good times ? Theres things I know I know and it's even wrote down but I can't remember it to save my life ! any how thanks for asking
  10. Appreciate it Andy This last stuff has been excellent pics are so much more detailed But good arcs still are not that great so far I stored 610 waypoints
  11. I found a pic of that square bill walleye from Stockton thot I'd post it man my son was honery! Lol
  12. This other thread is excellent and don't want to take away but I wS wondering if any one is running the humminbird chirp sonars i got my new equipment in real early spring - non chirp. Getting ready to place my order on new for this spring and wanted to know what was the experience with adjustable pulses. I figure with all the vertical fisherman walleye and crappie fisherman I could get non representive answers maybe boat dealers and fisherman such thanks fellas look forward to hearing answers
  13. Seems with more anglers wishing this. More walleye introduced is the answer . Seems this would also thin the small KentuckIves and carp introduced in 2000 I accidentally caught a huge to me - walleye and a square bill
  14. Did you fish today skeeter
