  1. Dutch I think that is very interesting For 25 years I have worked many hours Installing furnaces alI can do is wonder and think about fishing These guys have the education to understand the fisheries and the species ! Its posts like these that help me learn more
  2. I wouldn't understand that at all wrench ? March I could see but earlier That would be against the seasonal migration I would think? Main lake areas for big whites and numbers is more what my reply and suggestion is based upon last week whites were so shallow in maze my balsa b would stick to the mud as it landed Whites would shudder the surface engage the reel fish on !
  3. They also feed at diferent depths not much wind at 15 foot I think you will find it's very hard to catch them on shallow flats in January and February Realestate is the importance I hope these thoughts helps the forum find there catch in better methods and times or pass the bad weather days of thinking about there search Great to hear of the responses this often helps me figure out the puzzle i laid a Arig in my boat this morning Hope to fill my left well with a few
  4. with the structure that has been put in our lake I don't see how you couldn't catch them any where ? The best white bassing doesn't really involve a boat at all (time of day time of year and migration routes ) Try mutton creek area for a while mutton creek area in the open water has so many 2-3 pounders its boggling I've noticed wind verse waves appears to do the same thing shad move - feeders feed nice thread by the way !
  5. Wrench that's correct Big horse shoes And miles of creeks and main lakes what really seems to happen here at Stockton is wind blows from the south really strong and the water moves around quickly into the small coves - results in water circulating from shallow back to the drops Ignite them and Game on! In spring they feed on one side of like one day and then 300 yards away on the other side the next definetly not the same kind of impoundment at all loz will have tremendously strong patterns from shallow to steep at the same time what a great fishery you have just my 2 cent but it's accurate stocktons best white runs I have found are in 65 degree water over 15 feet in the spring wind direction isn't very important with the lakes most aggressive feeder
  6. Nice red shad Did you fish main lake any ?

  14. Nice job I see a 6 pounder was caught Stockton has the most dedicated and fierce fisherman I have ever seen .....but I suppose to tame the water you would have to be Appreciate a pm by that feller with a description had a ball hunting with my son Hunt still continues But he has passed on many shooters Waiting on 1 specific buck

  20. is your rod still smokin Jason ?
  21. I've thot a bit more over a sandwich It's because Dan is fishing 65 feet deep Hahaha
  22. A few reasonings - im happier plankton come to surface fish move to structures rock and Boulder fisherman start slaying the as rocks warm and cool water point trees become amazingly important water warms in shallows better light penetration spoons seems to work better at these times ( wished I could get a bass lesson with a spoon ) I just don't get results ? hope these variables puts a better fish in your well
  23. I'm busy firing my judges
  24. I've fished times like these before its true the warmer water is deeper right now but lowering the impoundment also pulls any fresh water into the drains Resulting in better water quality source KVD INFO as we saw Sunday Wind also helped oxygen content shallow And the more constant days will generally make fish catching better and better I haven't fished for a while but as for turn over Not at this point ! If I were a offshore fisherman I guarantee big ones under nice shad balls in 12 -15 of water remeber shad are stricken by temperature far more than bass and walleye They are the easy target ! When I look across the deeper water I notice swirls in 4 areas of the little sac till we hit colored water a real interesting secret is bass migrating from cold fronts follow structure lines in reverse 16 foot is now 10 foot - but for this lake 16 foot is really 6 foot I believe
  25. Very nice Im still cracken up great things were taken place right there on beautiful Stockton hats off to you two
