  3. The 2014 regional at Truman has been change to Sept, 6th and 7th
  4. I was going to have two Regionals this year and I already had the events posted, Kevin Yearly the founder of USA Bassin said, if I go back to one Regional he will guaranteed $3000.00 TO FIRST PLACE. This year on Truman at Sterrent Creek will be the Regional, Oct 18 and 19, 2014 $3000.00 to first place!!!

  7. Thanks Guys. My wife and I started this circuit in Missouri going on 7 years now this coming 2014. We had no intention of making a lot of money. We enjoyed putting these tournaments on for the fishermen and USA Bassin it's been a roller coaster since we started. I can't guaranteed how many boats will show up each tournament but I can guaranteed my wife and I will be there to put them on. Think about this $50.00 entry plus $10.00 Big Bass is not a lot but we added a $30.00 side pot. If you read the thread above and see what kind of money the fishermen are putting in their pockets to me making that kind of money off $90.00 is worth it. This circuit is design for the average fishermen if you plan on making a living off fishing then I suggest to become a pro. I'm not out here to bash the fishermen but look at your tournaments before you fish them and get an ideal what you are getting into at each tournament. This being said it sounds like I'm pushing away the fishermen to fish this circuit, HECK NO. I will say the fishermen that has fish this circuit was very pleased in the Divisions and Regionals in Missouri. USA Bassin design this circuit for fishermen that like to fish and get in a tournament at lower levels its not design to cost a boat load of money to fish. Lets get to the money part, I have nothing to hide we make $5.00 a boat, 20 boats=$100.00. Gas = $30.00 Meals= $20.00 for three a lot of times there 4 of us Hotel = $60.00 Product =$60.00 we buy for every tournament that's 15 tournaments Do you hear any of us %#*#& about the money? NO and NO Have are altitudes been negative about doing this? NO We enjoyed the smiles and getting together with you all, there's no price on this. You will see us making a day of fishing for the fishermen fun. I'll step down off the box now but you can count on us in 2014 being there for you guys.
  8. I don't know if this will be the neatest or the scariest thing that happen to me, Two years ago I was deer hunting and climbing up this hill I spotted a huge bush pile about 20 or 30 feet round and about 6 to 7 feet high, on the side facing me was this big oak tree and about two feet from the bush pile. There was another log laying in front of this tree a prefect place to sit on with my back against the tree.I decided to sit a spell and sat down with my back up against this tree putting me looking down the hill I just came up. There was more hill going up behind me and behind this brush pile to get to the top. As i sat there I thought if any deer came down the hill behind me it would either have to go right or left to get around this brush pile. Being a left handed shooter I was hoping if one came it would be on my right. After sitting there for about 15 minutes I heard a crunch, crunch, crunch and I turn real slow to my left while still sitting down and look threw this brush pile to see what was making the noise. I made out a buck. My heart started doing the deer beating mode and I knew this buck was mine. I sat like a statute and let this buck take his time walking down, now remember it had to go right or left to get around this brush pile but the buck had a different route plan straight threw the pile and up to the tree where I was sitting. Sitting on the log in front of this tree I was about two to three feet off the ground being a left handed shooter my 300 salvage was facing right across my lap, the buck came on my left side and stop beside me I FROZE. I had a small camo bag hanging off my pack which was on my back up against this tree. It hung down to my waist with doe scent in it. The buck came threw the pile with it's head down and stop about 10" from my left side with its head still down, I was looking at the top of his head and had no problem on counting the points on his rack a nice 8 point. My rifle was facing the opposite way putting the butt of the gun at front shoulder level to the buck no more then 10" from it. My heart ran out of my body but I didn't move. Slowly this buck raised its head and smell the camo bag on my left side hanging down and nudge it with his nose, then slowing brought his head up level with my face and I counted every eye lash on both eyes still being FROZE. What seem like a long time staring at each other no more then 12" from his nose to my face I blinked and off he went like a bullet back up where he came from but stopped on the back side of the brush pile and turn around to see what I was at least that what I thought. My rifle facing the opposite way then the buck I took a chance and swung right to get a shot but miss and off he went with a white flag laughing at me when I saw its rear. I finally caught my heart from running and sat there a good spell before moving. Now that I think of it I could of been horned and it would of been directly to the face. I was thrill of the experience but scare and not to be forgotten what had happen.
  9. Grew up in Colorado better part of my life on a ranch and farm until I went into the military. The rivers I fished were The Big Thompson and a river up by Craig I think it was The St. Verrain. Also there is a great trout lake above Estes Park call Mary's Lake. All of these ares are wild native trout. Pretty far from Gunnison and Taylor.
  10. Thanks Champ, I try to make this trail enjoyable to fish, I'll be the first to admit there is a lot of good sticks in Missouri and a lot of fishermen that can bag a win in a tournament. But if the fishermen know the entry fee is set low and the payout is base on the number of boats they don't fish. Number 1 problem, Don't show up to fish causes less boats less payout. Number 2 problem, Low entry fee low payback. How to fix; Pay $90.00 Entry$50.00, Big Bass$10.00, Side Pot$30.00 20 boats = 1st, $320.00 Minus - $90.00 = $230.00 Plus Big Bass = $200.00 Plus Side Pot = Take out $5.00 second big bass leaves $500.00 70/30 = $350.00 You just made $780.00 off a $90.00 entry 20 boat field pays out 4 places To me this $90.00 fee a low entry just made me this kind of money.
  11. This figure is not $120.00 entry fee it's a $50.00 entry plus big bass $10.00 plus side pot $30.00 Total = $90.00 you don't have to get in big bass or side pot $50.00 entry only
  12. Boater cost = gas, truck,boat - $250.00 Food = $15.00 Entry = $60.00 with big bass side pot = $30.00 non-boater cost = half of gas = $125.00 Food = $15.00 Entry = half, $30.00 half side pot = $15.00 Winnings = 20 boats,1st, $320.00 maybe big bass = $100.00 side pot = $100.00 2nd big bass leaving $500.00 70/30 = $300.00 Boaters cost to fish = $225.00 Winnings = $720.00 split half =$360.00 profit = $135.00 What picture does this leave????
  13. I try to put more money back into the fishermens pocket, by raising the entry fee to give more money back. Guys I run 16 tournaments a year I know what it costs to fish a tournament. USA Bassin is a good circuit, but being nation wide jumping threw the hoops is harder. I been given the choice to tried things to get more boats and more money back to you guys but I been shot down. Like I said USA Bassin is a good circuit but the entry fee is low therefor the paid back is. We went to a $30.00 side pot to help some. $5.00 toward 2nd big bass and the rest split 60/40 or 70/30. Champ188 is right with a field of 20 boats = 1st,$320.00 2nd,$190.00 3rd,$120.00, 4th,$70.00 This circuit is design for fishermen that don't want the high entry fee. $135.00 is the regionals entry fee this is a good pay back. There is 2 Regionals a year. I'm open for suggestions on this subject!
  14. Just wanted to let you all know USA Bassin is holding tournaments starting in March 2014 out of Campbell Point. WayneB
