  1. This is about right for me too. Plus I like to piddle around and cook lunch.
  2. Nice pics man, very nice.
  3. The Finley looks about like that right now. Anybody that wants to join me tomorrow is welcome.
  4. Amen Ham.
  5. A couple of us put in there and floated down to Hootentown about a month ago. When we were through with the float and swapping boats back up at Shelvin, some cat in a jet boat went right on by. There was plenty of water for a jet. The location of the new ramp is nice as now you have time to get situated before that first little riffle.
  6. Yeah, I guess. As always, very nice.
  7. Wow, those are some really nice fish. I guess last year didn't do in everything. Get me fired up. For another cold wet weekend. Thanks a lot.
  8. What would be wrong with a little trawling action? It's nearly to that point.
  9. You some kind of fraidy' cat about a little water or something?
  10. I hadn't dumped in probably 20 years either. Until this year. I was on the NFOTW all by my lonesome on 4/12/13 floating in my Mad River Legend 15. It was howling windy. I was fishing a run above an island, a huge gust of wind turned me sideways and between the wind trying to blow me upriver and the current trying to hurry me on downriver I was out in a flash. Lost a brand new never caught a fish on it yet St.Croix with a brand new never caught a fish on it pfleuger president, a box of stickbaits and two binders of plastics and jig heads. I was glad I had a dry bag with a change of clothes along with. Still haven't told Lovey. And don't plan to ever as far as that goes.
  11. It's because he knows he looks good in those shades.
  12. Well then.....
  13. I was in PI on PI in 1971. I always figured rats were a lot easier to get hold of, grill on the hibachi and sell to Americans than monkeys ever would have been. I've never been all that picky and it still tasted good after the San Miguel.
  14. I'd like to meet this corndawg person someday.
  15. Careful or you'll get your net slimed. Man do they produce it!. (caught a few over the years on the Osage) Write me down as a fan of eating bait. Love that sashimi.
  16. That was pretty cool to look at and read. Thanks for putting it up.
  17. I normally take two. One will have plastic, the other one something else depending on season and water.
  18. Famous Dave can't even cook potatoes. The worst of chain food places. Another one to avoid (not a chain but not good) is Buckinghams. Been there three times, twice the meat was dried out, the third time it tasted like charcoal lighter fluid. Danna's at least is pretty good. Odd that a BBQ/Burger joint would have such good catfish, but they do.
  19. Crowbar is old enough to know better. That's the problem plain and simple. Knowing better and failing to act according. Seems to be an all too common human trait though. It's surely one of mine now and then.
  20. Plus if it's really concealed, who's gonna know anyway? 100% here Mr. Grey Bear.
  21. Corndawg should have made the Chief cut him one and saved the $5. As always, nice pic Chief. Reminds me of when we used to go to Radio Springs Park in Nevada with cane poles and a can of worms from the garden and load up on bluegill. My dear grandmother always made a deal out of whenever I brought home anything to eat. Those bluegill were definitely something to eat. Ah for the old times.
  22. What a weekend. Thanks man. Great fishing, better hospitality, best people. Just awesome. Thank you all.
  23. Looking at the gauge data at Tecumseh looks like a nice bounce (at least so far). Justin, I can bring some deer steaks, homemade bratwurst and italian sausage for Friday night. Also still willing to do a big batch of biscuits and gravy for Saturday morning, assuming there's an oven available. Let me know anything else you'd like me to bring. Thanks again for doing this.
