  1. Well, there was this one funeral that featured my mother in law. She looked great to me.
  2. Down the hatch! Cool video...
  3. I've seen kitchen sinks in abandonded houses overflowing onto the floor with coon crap. In a hay barn they'll pick a corner or three and fill them up. They are the chewingest, food destroyingest cutest little monsters God created.
  4. That photo looks like the fish is making an escape! Nice one, really pretty.
  5. Way to go Peggy!!!

    What's Cooking?

This is one of my favorite ways to do salmon. And Asparagus. The white stuff on my plate is garlic mashed yukon gold potatoes, with fresh garlic and real butter.
  7. Can you believe it? Nancy was in the closet in the spare bedroom!
  8. Heck, I remember Fall Creek dock from the 60's! I am most definitely old. A memorable camping night there with my friend Butch will always live. There were skunks running all over that campground. Had to be at least a dozen. We just sat still, had another beer and as usual, everything was all right in the morning. No spray and fish for breakfast.
  9. If you want to keep them in your office, they're out in the shop in the gun safe. You'll need to come get them.🙃
  10. And the next challenge will be for me to remember them on the next trip...
  11. I'm your huckleberry... We need to get out and about tomorrow and this is the perfect reason.
  12. It's just so hard Phil and you have my sincerest sympathy. If I knew some words to make you feel better I would share them. One of the great mysteries is how we can fall so deeply in love with our dogs, and they with us - knowing we don't share a similar lifespan. I've come to terms with it and will always have dogs until I am no longer physically able.

Sure thing Ness, does this meet the high standards here?
  14. Tell that to the pin oaks, shingle oaks and a few others still hanging on to the last of their leaves. They learned long ago to wait until it's time. And by their reckoning, there's still weather to come.
  15. I've done a few. Tips: Big pot and big burner to match; An appropriate tool to get the food stirred around, drained and served when it's time. Get the water to a full boil before you put anything in it. For seasoning I think it's hard to beat Tony Cachere's - and don't skimp. Lots of crawdads come pre cooked and only need to get good and hot again - be sure to check if yours are cooked or fresh. Andouille is always part of the way I do it. Other sausage can be used but andouille is traditional for a good reason. So are small red potatoes and corn on the cob - but now is horrid for corn unless you like the frozen stuff. Lots of old news papers to spread out on the table. More than you might think. Plenty of paper plates. Plenty of paper towels / wipes. Good luck and enjoy.
  16. And @fishinwrench - a Pangolin couldn't eat a bat if it tried. They live on termites and ants, have a mouth hole about the size of a dime, a six inch tongue and no teeth. You know, like your dream woman.
  17. That is a theory, correct.
  18. Another one from the director of "My Octopus Teacher" which if you have not seen it you should. This one is about a young Pangolin (a type of armored ant-eater) that is rescued from poachers and raised to adulthood by a very dedicated volunteer. I'd never even heard of a pangolin but the movie was another victory. Apparently they're heavily trafficked and all 8 species are either endangered or threatened. Watch and learn. Recommended.
  19. 80's later in the week.

    Really!

I've got Hosta's starting from seed but they're where it's 65F. Dang those things come up slow and tiny. Are your tomato seeds coming up yet?
  21. It's what I use on Medium spinning rigs for jerkbaits. Six pound to be exact. I like it.
  22. This reminds me it's time to mow my patch.👍 Edit: Done.😎
  23. The big very old redbud in our front yard is blooming out - just really getting good and started. The Lilac bush is greening up and it won't be long before it blooms too.
