  1. Nice job! You can't bring your own kayak to fish the lakes, correct? Also the fish okay to eat in Busch Wildlife? I've never done it before but would like to save a few
  2. Thanks everyone for the input!
  3. I have a trip planned in mid May with the wife to go to the Great Smoky Mountains. Staying near Gaitlinburg. Anyone have any good recommendations on places to fish? Trying to get a native brook trout above anything else. So far in my research I've found Lynn Camp Prong would be productive. Also looking online on their forum found a couple prongs on the Little River. Any first hand advice would be welcome! Thanks, Matt
  4. Is there a spot you can park at the bridge safely?
  5. Water was higher and green, but the rainbows hit Red San Juan worms with reckless abandon. They wouldn't even touch the heavy black wooly. Had two browns and a small googleye on a olive/white clouser before calling it a day. Good day on the river and extra special for the snow in the AM.
  6. Beetles, ants, and Stimulators. Lots of fun

Here you go for cleaning your equipment. http://mdc.mo.gov/sites/default/files/resources/2011/06/didymosheet_06-30-11.pdf
  8. I think the main reason is that there are more options these days for people to explore other hobbies. I never heard of LARPing until a guy I play hurling with quit to do that (both real things). Invite that young person fishing and spend time teaching. I started to get into fly fishing a couple of years ago. I'm by no means an expert, but I try to spend more time teaching what i know. Had several buddies get hooked and enjoy going out. Probably more to do with Beer drinking and away from home, but a victory is a victory.
