  1. Saw that on the news last night. R.I.P.
  2. I'm not a fan of their original sauce either. My son likes it for cased meats though.
  3. I can't address the water, but the Orla to B wouldn't be a bad float, but it's only 7 miles. you could use the bridge at B as a marker and then camp below it and go on to Drynob the second day. I don't think the water below gives you a lot of good camping choices, unless you do the end and take out a Hazelgreen. No one clears the O fork, so be aware that portage could be required,.
  4. I agree. you can bend them into an arc and then let the canes grow over the top toward each other. You can pick from below.
  5. That's a very interest piece of equipment there rainbow.
  6. I hope he got fries, wrapped in brown paper. Hard to beat Bryants fries in spite of everyone making them. Maybe it's the grease soaked paper they came in? I assume they still throw in 2 pieces of white bread, fries and the meat on a peace of butchers paper and wrap it?
  7. Al if they, DNR, have the authority to manage water quality I would think that hundreds of people making multi hour floats at one time with no bathrooms might be an incentive.
  8. That's quite a story TrophyFishR, I assume your wife didn't roll the window down again. I also have the portable model. I've been considering a lantern for the porch. Home Depot seems to be the easiest place for refills here at a decent price?
  9. I wouldn't worry about that. they don't seem to be all that susceptible to diseases. I would however be very cautious about the skunk if you ever catch the rascal. I'm somewhat amazed that he hasn't fallen for the trap. Maybe he's getting beat out by other critters? Maybe you should try putting the trap out at different times to intercept him when he ventures out? Just guessing.
  10. I don't understand the "Blows it"? I admit I didn't watch the video, don't want to upset my breakfast, but Bryant's is the oldest and still locally owned so i suppose someone did a little homework. Ribs however isn't Bryant's signature dish.
  11. My take is that ATV's need solid material, jet boats need water, floaters need rivers. Seems simple to me. The Niangua has been a river I have watched for 50 years and the Missouri DNR couldn't have done a worse job of managing it if they tried. Maybe I misspoke and should have said they haven't managed it at all and may not know where it is.
  12. And remove it you should. I'm simply saying it might have been unavoidable and likely was, noodles are time consuming to make.
  13. TrophyFishR anything they have that's nasty will normally be in their blood. You just don';t want it on you if possible and you don't want your dog licking it. Skunks are notorious for rabies and it seems that ou never know when it will pop up.
  14. Well a 25 pound cat can go a long way and I'm sure the people who had the jug would have loved to have had it back. Just like the fish that breaks of with a lure in its mouth, stuff happens. The cat would have been fine with one eye, all he needed was his skin and his barbels.
  15. I'm not sure I would like the new ones as well as my old one. The sound of the weight jiggling is like a security blanket. They can be used both ways and if you add a rack, available, there is no difference on the water bath side.
  16. I guess I've heard of too many deaths of botulism from green beans over the decades, I just don't feel comfortable with anything but pressure cooking. Its the same strokes, just a little longer in time.
  17. Things can happen, but the important thing is you accepted responsibility and didn't question the law. hats off to you.
  18. I would be very careful with him. I don't think his behavior is normal so I would be very careful around any of its blood. Last time i killed a sick coon I poured bleach over anything that looked like his blood or could have been a body fluid. I think I would do the same when the skunk meets his maker. I've developed a coon problem. The little coon that was on the porch a while back has now rounded up his sibling and they're creating havoc on both of my porches. I have a bunch of garden stuff on the back porch and they're knocking it all over looking for food. Unfortunately the cat food wasn't brought in the other night so they are encouraged more now.
  19. You have to PC some things, beans and fish for instance. A lot of tomato products should be because a home gardner seldom knows the acid content of his tomatoes.
  20. What is this now? Skunk 6, Trophyfish 0?
  21. I have one more you might try. Pull the off one of the cans and crack an egg in it, shellnand all. Do it with latex glove or bacon greased hands.
  22. I don't know thar inexpensive and pressure cooker should be used in the same sentence. Our Presto is about 30 years old and I can still buy all the parts.
  23. Much better view there. Like I said comment was from what I could see.
  24. That's true about the color, but the head looks wide and the tail round in the picture. Their pectorol barbs aren't very sharp, but then again under your circumstances they might be sharp enough.

    Wings Anyone?

Before Buffalo Wings flew out of Buffalo and restaurants jumped on the band wagon, wings were cheap and a well kept secret. Now pound for pound they are more expensive then everything but breasts.
