Have you tried using it outside the head? I have several books that I bought decades ago and which was the only thing available then,but they are all so general they do little to help stream success. They would allow you to blow more smoke on here, but not much on the river.

I would use the internet.

Pretty small? I don't see it as small, even if you can get legal for $60, which I doubt. My question is whether it has been found in a free flowing stream. Tailwaters can't be compared to free flowing streams. If not then maybe the ban should apply to Taney only.

Good to know. My experience in the speed department was mixed. Within a few days of receiving mine I went to my sons to animal sit and the Fire was slow enough that I thought seriously about returning it. Back home it was fine. I then tried it at a free wifi site and again it was fine so I dismissed it as a problem with the router.

I thought about pointing that out, but I didn't want destroy the parks reputation in case you weren't there.

A lot of years they catch trout as far down as 86 in the winter.

I believe Monday is included. The park is pretty enjoyable during the winter fishing. No crowds or undesirables as a rule.

Scuppers can always be a problem with SOT's. While hanging a rock would be obvious damage, having one crack would come under warranty. The Ride does show some advantages on paper, wider and cheaper come to mind. Any extra width will contribute to a better standing posture, especially combined with the pontoon configuration of the hull, if that is important too you. The Coosa gets dissed for tracking, not necessarily a fault for some flows, but a big fault for stillwater and going upstream. The Ride is most likely a better choice for some uses and the Coosa a better one for some others.

I have a Fire and its working all right so far. The keyboard has been adequate, especially horizontal, it will store pictures down loaded through the USB, the battery life is very good. It has a gorilla glass face that is extremely tough and doesn't really need a film cover, no pesky little bubbles. I don't use it that much for surfing but more for visiting bookmarked sites. It will surf, visit, order etc, but some of the print can be a pain so you have enlarge it which is also a pain. If there is a way to cut and paste I haven't found it. There is a learning curve and after a month I'm getting pretty comfortable with it. I also like to read and the Kindle library is very good. The library contains alot of cheap, $3.99 to .99, books. I haven't streamed any movies on it so I can't really judge the performance other then to say it's available. I looked at the I-pad and it is better because of content and size, but size was a problem I felt because of portability. The droid apps are growing and I suspect they will catch up with the I-pad soon. I would give it 4 out of 5 stars.

I agree that presentation is the most important and I think that is why the parks can really help. BSSP and RR both are clear enough and shallow enough give a good view of what is happening with the fly. The mend, the effect of weight and its placement and the takes can be observed for future reference. They're one of the few places where you can see the slight of mouth where a trout takes and rejects without a hint above the water.

The fish you catch here will most likely be Ozark bass which are native to the White watershed. They'll look different than the SE G ' eyes in their markings.

Which makes you an exception, but I still believe the average is no where near that. Once the stockers get over the fact that they don't have to compete at feeding time they get picky. It only takes a few days.

Mic you would have to burn the woods and sift the ashes to find very many anglers in the parks who fish HE's, PT's, Prince, leeches, EHC, etc,etc. That is no indication of their effectiveness however.

Two or three times a week? My point was that if you fish a few times a year you tend to follow the list which are self supporting. Take the Brassie, aka SJW, that was the rage at one time, so many used it that its success was guaranteed by mass use. It's popularity was passed along by the shop from reports by fishermen who only fished with what they were told.

I don't know that there any prefered floats on the James. Any access to access will be an enjoyable one.

I don't know that the hot lists mean all that much. There aren't a lot of people who fish the parks or the tailwater all that often. I've lived in and next to Bennett and I'm not far from Taney. I also fished some NW rivers extensively for a decade. My hot list has never changed much, at least not the core of about 6 or 8.

I have a different read on both of them. Cassel, IMO, isn't an accurate passer and with the high powered DB's today you have to be able to thread the needle. I think a good example is the crossing route where he's always slightly behind the receiver which stops or eliminates any forward progress. The same can be said about swing passes, same thing, back has to stop or reverse to catch the ball. My thinking on Haley was that he was to proud of himself and was trying to introduce what he thought was innovation into a sport older than his grandfather. He knew the basics, but chose to ignore them. The bottom line though is that the whole organization should have known where they were with the QB situation. Cassel was a backup in college and they paid him like he had won the Heisman. Palko got cut in Canada for crying out loud where wannabes make the squad.

It was good to hear about the hellbender. There were some in the river as late as the 80's but the river has changed a lot since then. The gravel has filled in a lot of their potential cover.

Coyotes are gutsy, I observed four stalking a half dozen antelope one morning. I would have my doubts that they would have the stamina to run one down, unless they knew one was injured. I called them off and reduced them to three.

In some years we would hunt a late season cow elk hunt and there was always snow on the ground. We would always run across a set or two of cat tracks, often trailing a cow with a calf.

RGIII X3 The only guy to sit on the bench more than Cassel in the last 8 years or so is Palko. Cassel is an above average backup. I've watched the Chiefs since they stepped off the plane at Municipal and they interviewed E J Holub. They brought a franchise QB with them and haven't had one since. Blackledge was a good candidate, but Levy wanted a quick show.

I would like to see Romeo get real chance. He's an above average defensively coach, and that might be an understatement, so he could be a better than average head. I know about Cleveland, but different players and different org.,who knows. It's common for coaches to have different results indifferent circumstances. Now if we could replace the bench boys, Cassel and Plako.
