When I bass fished back in the 70s and 80s we used a white spinnerbait with white blades when the moon was full. Darker the moon darker the color.

I got a warning once for ripping the breast out of the phesants I was cleaning and throwing the rest away. He said he could give me a ticket for wasting the legs and thighs. Have you ever tried to eat a phesant leg. This happened in N.W. Mo. a few years back

About 15 yrs ago I got into whites on top water in the summer late one eveing down on the lower end of the lake. I did that a few times that year but about it got good in the eveing it was time to leave, Also got in to them once on the flats up by the duck blinds in the fall they were chasing shad with a few muskies were in with them.
