  1. That's my point. Common sense comes from perspective.
  2. That's my point. Common sense comes from perspective.
  3. That's fine trout. We can just all defer to you on what's safe or not.
  4. Well, I guess we can agree to disagree. If your friend wants to be lazy, so be it. Most are not. The last thing anyone who knows me would label me is lazy. In my opinion you don't get it. To each his own. If you don't like someone doing something that is legal work to change the law.
  5. Trout, that's funny. So I guess if I'm driving and doing things legaly but you deem me a hazzard then you can just use your good judgement to put me in the ditch? Most jugs I have seen are highly visible so wouldn't common sense say stay away from them?
  6. Don't see much common sense in anything you just posted. Cutting legal jug lines. That really makes sense.
  7. Ok, lets review. I don't have a problem with you having an issue with jug fishermen. I don't have a problem with you getting on here and expressing that opinion. What I do have an problem with is you referring to me as lazy. You said jug fishermen are lazy, I'm a jug fishermen at times. I have been called a lot worse but felt a need to defend my fellow jug fishermen. I agree that jugs shouldn't be put across narrow parts of the lake and I, for one, do not do that. I put my jugs on the edges of coves. The only problem is that putting those jugs across narrow parts of the lake is not illegal so therefore the only option is to deal with it. Just for info, I have dealt with jugs on narrow parts of the lake. Usually between Larry Gale and the 54 bridge there is a narrow part that usually has jugs all the way across. I had no more right to call you arrogant without knowing you than you had to generalize jug fishermen as lazy.
  8. Umm, excuse me. First, my jug lines are more than legal. I don't push any issues when fishing. You need to brush up on your regulations if you think what I do is pushing the limit. That's funny. Second, re read my post. I am a laid back individual and I work my hind end off at work and at play. To say that what I do is lazy is laughable. You think I'm lazy I think you have a problem with arrogance. You cut my jug line and you are the illegal fisherman. You so much as pull up a jug line that isn't yours you are illegal. BTW, I spend most of my time on LOZ. I only go to Table Rock when the summer traffic gets bad. There are good and bad fishermen of every style. My reference to Mill Creek was only to point out that we all have our pet peeves. I could get on here every time I get home from fishing and whine and cry but I don't. Get over yourself, do what you enjoy and leave everyone else alone. If someone gets your spot first, find another. It's that simple.
  9. You know RSPauls, this doesn't piss me off as much as it makes me laugh. We all do our own kind of fishing. I crappie and white bass fish with pole and line. I have had people tell me I'm crazy to chase the whites cause they are "trash fish". I can tell you, jug fishermen aren't lazy. I jug fish in the heat of the summer and I leave them unattended (gasp!). I study the regulations as much as I study the lake, I am legal because I anchor them. To each his own, I can't hardly stand tournament fisherman. Putting a boat in the water on a Friday or Saturday evening at Mill Creek on the Rock is suicide because of their night tournament crowding the cove then they go out there and scare off all my catfish. But I don't get on here and whine and cry about it. They do their thing, I do mine. Your statement only drives home your arrogance and lack of initiative to try any thing different than you already know. But, to add to the conversation, if a jug has been left unattended for over an hour unanchored or 24 hours if it is anchored it is illegal and should be reported. Especially if it is hot outside a catfish won't live very long on a line.
  10. I checked mine and most others around and no luck. Can buy the bags but not jugs. We are camping up around Elkton this weekend so I will be up there anyway. For future reference tho, where is your local Wally World. In a pinch I may have to go there. Thanks.
  11. Thanks for the info. That is indeed the one I was looking for. Love the Louisiana Fish Fry.
  12. I know this is off topic but I have a question. Last year my wife and I camped and fished out of Nemo. We took a road trip one day and found this little grocery store in what seemed to be the middle of nowhere and I believe it was on the west side. It seems like I remember a convenience store near it and it was kind of setting up on a little hill with a gravel parking lot. They sell the kind of fish fry I like in a big jug and I can't remember where it was or what it was called. Thanks in advance for any help.
  13. Yes sir. Even the small ones. Thanks for the info.
  14. What size of rooster tail? I normally target them in late fall on LOZ but would like to expand my season. Love the white bass fight.
  15. Do you know how old the unit is? I am discussing this with my "financial adviser".
  16. How long is the shaft?
  17. I fished out of Windermere and Larry Gale 3 days with mixed results. Saturday we had 24 total, Monday 30, Tuesday 13 all with two of us in the boat. Nothing was on the bank yet and the males didn't have scarred up tails. I think the best is yet to come. I am going to Memphis this weekend to visit my brother so I am not fishing. My wife and I are planning to take the camper to Windermere on the 29th and camp/fish for the weekend. Hope we don't miss the spawn. Good luck.
  18. Looks like you all had a Good day. My grandkids are a little young yet but give em a few years and we will be tearing it up.
  19. I've gotta figure this out. I have practiced a little but not near enough
  20. It was tough on me today. Didn't talk to many folks today but the one I talked to were doin about the same. Fished from Bridal Cave to the Little Niangua. Smallest was 10 1/3 and the biggest about 12. Kalens Triple Threat in Wally World color. Don't know why the white looks so short, he was probably 14.
  21. I fished that area today but I was looking for whites. Looks like I was chasing the wrong fish. Good job Wrench
  22. Thanks again. Wired it up last night and it works like a charm.
  23. Thanks wrench. I thought that was right but DC wiring escapes my understanding. Sure will be nice to have that switch back there.
  24. My boat didn't have a tilt switch on the cowl so I bought the Marpac surface mount switch off ebay. I looked at the wiring on the motor (Force by Mercury 120 HP) and I found the wires coming in from the other switches (Blue and Green) to the relay. My new switch also has a purple wire though. Where does the purple wire go? Is it a power wire and if so can I just hook it up to 12 volts where ever I can or should I look for another purple wire in the harness? Also, can I just quick connect to those wires coming in from the other switches? Thanks in advance.
  25. Nice. What part of the lake? I haven't had much luck on the Osage and Gravois
