I found out that the colored graphs are hard to read in direct sunlight. But an eagle 480 is a pretty good graph to look for.

I usually fish dry flies such as Griffith Gnats, or what ever fly is hatching.

I Prefer Spring-Summer patterns in a lake for largemouth bass.

I was wondering what your guys best flies are for bass, and what lake is the best for catching a bass on a fly rod?

I know its a hot spot for crappie, but other species such as bass its a hit and miss.

I'm starting this topic because I thought about how we and Bass masters used to catch big fish before the side scan, down imaging,and 360 scan, until I watched every bass master say " I always look at my Fish finder and idle around to indicate big fish and surrounding structure" and right after they found an area they fire there lure in the water and pull out a 6 pound bass without even trying.In my opinion that takes the fun and "think and compare days" out of fishing making where if you got money to purchase the new touchscreen HD 360,side scan, down scan fish finder or what other new fish finder comes out your going to be winning tournaments every week until some one else buys a newer fish finder. Sometimes I understand you got the lucky person who brings in their fish and wins, but majority of the time its electronics that help bring in big fish. I on the other hand can catch 5 five fish now but the big one still isn't in our live well.but we had purchase almost $1,000 dollars in electronics before we could catch 5 fish to bring in to the scales, still the one who wins has the up to date electronics. Now if we catch a 5 lb. fish its a blessing to catch in a tourney. Remember before the electronics how people caught 25 lbs. of 5 fish........knowledge and luck.so what does the future of bass fishing hold for us.............

Got there around 5 and put in at new state park caught 3 small bass on crank bait but 2 jumped off at the boat. Also noticed LOTS of algae in the water. water temp was around 80.

We fished the Stockton Friday Nighters and I caught 2 fish that had broken jaws.

Went to fellows lake around 6:30 yesterday and caught 2 largemouth bass on a zoom green pumpkin violet lizard Texas rigged. After 7:00 the bite shut off. didn't see no Muskie or catfish swimming around but did see a carp school feed in a cove near the dam.

what bait did they catch them on?

I always caught them by accidently trolling for largemouth in the early summer. Water temp was around 70-80.

I understand that the fish are not biting on the jerk bait any more but, I was thinking and looking at both for differences and similarities of the clunn stx and mega bass vision 110. I was told that the mega bass works better than the clunn by articles and other fisherman. The other day(February) I had the opportunity to purchase a mega bass vision 110 for the fact that I already own a few of the clunn's and haven't caught a fish on the clunn's. From what the fact that one is $25 and the other $8 they look almost identical(also was told they wobble about same). A few weeks ago when the water temp was starting to warm up I threw the mega bass a few times and the clunn also. The big surprise behind the clunn is that it doesn't "wobble" as much as the mega bass, why is that, I don't know. I noticed right off that the mega bass has a better, more erratic action. The rod I thought was the problem with the clunn, So I decided to tie it on the rod that had the mega bass and same deal the clunn still had the "pull" feel.So the mega bass is more expensive for the reason that it has a more erratic action.Im still going to fish with clunn jerk baits because you buy 2 clunn's for the price of one mega bass and also they look so identical.

Was going to McDaniels lake to see if the white bass were biting only to find out they have put a gate up to keep cars out of the bridge area on one side but the other side had a gate with a opening big enough for one car to go through, saw 2 cars parked down on that side. I heard Johnny Morris bought a piece of land near the lake, don't know if the city or he put it up, My main thought is that the bridge is ready to come down.
