I'm jealous.

Count me out for this one. Too many things going on around here with Christmas and I'm thinking this one is going to be pretty crappy.

The only thing I DO know for sure is that the Neosho Hatchery does not raise browns and that the MDC is the one who stocks the browns at Capps. I still think the ones that are different are escapees from someone's pond or private stream that has flooded or transported there from a bucket. (hickory)

Crap! just like always it seems the tigers or for that matter any Missouri team are going to choke. I love my state teams, but man have they given me heartaches.

Most times I don't show up til around 9:00. Sundays are the only ones for me right now due to work. Getting closer to Christmas is even harder for me to accomplish anything. I'll post up if I go down there.

Second half DEFENSE will be the key!!!!! CMAC wrapped that up very well. The tigers just couldn't stay with the bigger OU team. I was surprised to see the game tied going into the half. I thought OU clearly outplayed the Tigers last night. Although you won't get me to admit that in public!

I'll have to agree with the chief on this one. I have caught an 18" largemouth out of there before, but it was sooooooo lathargic it didn't give up a very good fight IMO. I have seen a couple of smallies caught out of there, but that has been in a 8-10 year span. I just don't see them in there very often.

Oh, you don't have to speak for me. I know and realize you caught more fish than me, but I still have the mystery fish on the first or second cast! lol The rain kind of sucked, but it seemed to help out I thought. I should have stuck with the olive jig at the end, but I had to go with the confidence color, ginger. The brush had me re-tying a few times. The wind wasn't as bad as I thought it would be also. I didn't catch as many browns either, but still ended up catching over 30. It was pretty much non-stop action all morning for us. That doesn't happen often enough and the fish stocked were of a bigger size too. We both missed a LOT of strikes and I couldn't land a nice fish around 15-16". Wow, what a day

What a game! Tigers kick some butt!!!! I really thought there would be more points put up on the board by KU, but the Tiger's D held up and made some key plays. I'm telling ya, KU had an easy schedule and hadn't played anyone tough until Mizzou. Big question now is can they keep this momentum going into the OU game, because they will need it. That will be a great game to watch.

Sorry you won't be there. Less than ideal conditions today it looks like. I'm getting ready right now, but we will think of you today and your family. Hope your dad gets better.

Everyone else who hasn't fished Capps that much I would recommend you bring something to protect yourself from the wind in case it is windy.

That brown was from Capps or Hickory? I've caught browns at Capps, but not Hickory. Anyone want to bring some other food chime in! It would help out. Thanks

Normally the Neosho Hatchery does the stocking, but the state could have done it this time. I know down on Capps that the hatchery normally stocks there, but sometimes the state does also. That's straight from the manager at the hatchery.

Rules of engagement huh. I did say something about braggin rights didn't I? That one will come back and bite me in the butt! I like the One fly sort of, but I would like more of the same fly or jig. Way too many trees on the bank and in the water. Normally I try and keep it simple and just go by size and count. I'll plan on just bringing myself and a lunch, but if others decide to go they need to let me know so I can pick up brats and beans.

Let's make it Sunday of Thanksgiving weekend. Not the greatest time for all I'm sure. If not, someone please give out a shout for a Sunday weekend or post if you want to meet up on a Sunday morning. I did fish the creek yesterday and did alright for just a couple of hours. Eight stockers ranging from 6"-12". The small one, a brown, still had par marks on the side. Still makes you wonder about reproduction on the Capps. I did see the funniest thing when leaving though. A couple sitting on their buckets on the bank with Pocket Fisherman in their hands! They were fishing in water about shin deep in the middle of day with their bobbers and HUGE hooks with corn. Alright for kids to me, but I'm sorry, the Pocket Fisherman had me rolling! lol

Shhhhh, don't let the secret out that much! No, really, I love Beaver and have always thought it to be underrated.
