  1. Sorry here's the pic.
  2. I'm gonna second Champ on using Rob with Fall Creek. Here's a few of the warts he did for me last winter. I don't have any pics handy of them used but he does very quality work.

  4. Sorry should have specified. It's Sportsmans Factory Outlet. It's connected to the Lew's warehouse. Pretty nice local tackle store that beats going to Bass Pro...only problem is they aren't open on weekends.
  5. +1 Picked up one of their swimbait/a rig rods a couple weeks ago and it's stellar. Handles the bigger baits very well...plus they're local. Head on into Sportmans in Springfield and I'm sure they'd be happy to show you all the variations they've got.
  6. One of my buddies is on Pickwick right now and was throwing one earlier today. He was doing pretty well with it. Saw one pic of a 6 to 7 that whacked it. I was there at the end of May for a tournament and threw a regular chatterbait and the new rage blade quite a bit. The problem with the rage blade is it rises in the water column too quickly for my liking. You can't keep it in the strike zone long enough. I'm gonna have to try one of those piranha ones.
  7. Yeah that day I was using a 4 inch white silver flake swim senko. Went with that to keep the size down. Only problem is they only last 2 or 3 fish since they're so soft.
  8. I was surprised at how well it worked out. I figured the water was too clear but the fish loved it. I tried the 3/8 and 1/2 oz both in white with a few strands of smoke on the bottom and the 3/8 seemed to produce more bites. There's just something about the vibration I've noticed that gets it bit more than a 1/2 oz on most places I've fished it.
  9. I was up there Thursday and threw one for a little with no luck just followers. After throwing several other shad imitations with no luck and a few follows I had a chatterbait tied on an extra rod so figured might as well. Three casts later I found out that's what they wanted. Had 14 fish from 8-noon. Biggest was about 4 with only three shorts. All fish came from about 2-4 feet of water also and they were just crushing the chatterbait. The other thing though was the weather was set up pretty good for them to stay shallow most of the day so I'm gonna say that's why they were up there then.
  10. No not much finesse haha. If I can get anything going I'll make sure to take some pics and post them here.
  11. So how do you think the new Magnum Spoon will do at TR? Got them to fish TVA lakes with but figured I'll see if I can't get anything going down here with them. After waiting a month since I ordered them they finally arrived today.
  12. I've been trying to fish the swing jig more and more as the situation allows. Fished it Wednesday and was getting quite a few bites on it with a creature. One thing I've started to do is throw a big 10"+ worm on it. Depending on the brand of worm it will sit almost straight up in the water like when rigged on a shakey head. Another thing I prefer is the ones that you can change the hooks out on. The more expensive ones like Chomper's and the Hard Heads don't allow you to do that. I've even started throwing swimbaits on them from time to time.
  13. Don't worry about it ha my dad ended up taking care of it for me. Anyways since everyone is on the subject of stripers...I'm actually from Arizona and the lake closest to home back there has definitely been effected by stripers. That lake is called Lake Pleasant. The AZGFD did not introduce them to the lake. They came down the river from Lake Mead from everyone that I've talked to. I was there just last week and fishing a different lake with a friend who is a guide. He tells me that every year the spawn just dwindles more and more. The ever changing lake levels at that particular lake don't help but the stripers definitely aren't doing the LMB any good. They eat up a large majority of the forage which is threadfin. It has gotten to the point in the last few years there is no limit on stripers because they have became such a nuisance.
  14. Do any of you guys have any input on a good taxidermist in the Table Rock or Springfield area? I'm looking to get a reproduction done. Thanks for any input.
