I rarely miss church but did this morning when it was the only time my oldest son and I could work it out to fish. He rarely wants to go. Anyways we launched at around 7 went to the back of Prarie creek with nothing to show. I moved around and found a lay down and we each caught a couple of spots off a Shakey Head off the tree. The wind was nuts. We moved out to the main lake and each caught another one but never could find more. The second one I caught was on a drop shot. We were off the lake at 11. The water temp was 68 ish.

I almost fished it but changed my mind. I have never fished a public tournament before. It would have been pure luck for me to win it but at least with biggest bass I know I would at least have a chance. I believe I have caught 3 approx 5 lb bass this year. One on a jerk bait, one top water and one on a worm.

Great report showme. I mostly bass fish and that not very successful but I love to eat crappie too.

After several posts about the drop shot I tried again on Sunday afternoon and I finally was catching them. I was in Monte Ne and caught 4 all littles. I tried a spoon too and caught 2 crappie and one blue gill. Weirdest thing.

Can I ask a dumb question? Where is the best and closest place to put in from Northwest Arkansas? I have only fished Tablerock once and it was from Branson or Moonshine beach by the darn. I cannot drive that far for a day trip.

Nice report. I got out at the same time but I had my two nephews with me so not much bass fishing. We caught a couple of crappie and a small bluegill.
I could not resist to go into one cove like area an throw some top water and all got was short strikes and swipes. I should have Downsized. I was throwing med sized Zaraspook.

Good report. I always seem to struggle with poppers. I bet with the cooler weather it should really heat up.

I could not get anything on the crank. I caught mine on a shakey head.

Thanks for the report. I have not done much light fishing or maybe I should say I have never had much success. I know you have to bring I the shad to be successful.
As as to crappie you will want to find brush piles and even then you need to find them usually in relation to the channel someway.

Nice report. I have not had a chance to report this but I got out Tuesday night and did alright. I also fished around prairie creek and caught 4 all shorts on top water. That's all I fished. And I missed several others. I fished From 7:15 to about 8:30.

Thanks Dan! Yeah my handle is odd I suppose. I love to fish (not good at it but still love it) and I love to tell people about Jesus. Specifically what He has done for me. Jesus coined the term first so I am just a copy cat. Haha.
