  1. I'm 99.9% sure it's a pure Longear Sunfish. Thanks!
  2. Nope it was that big before I shot it. Massive. It looked even bigger under water.
  3. I shot this giant Longear Sunfish out of Bull Shoals Lake while spearfishing. It was 8.75 inches long. Have you caught or seen one larger?

  6. They meet on the 4thTuesday of the month at East Side Baptist Church, Hensley Building, on 9th st., Mountain Home. Doors open at 6:30. You can e-mail them for further information at Walleyeanglers <walleyeanglers@centurytel.net>
  7. Rio Outbound Short type 6 is what I use for the White River. Works great for throwing big streamers on big water out of a boat for big brown trout. https://www.rioproducts.com/learn/streamer-line-choices https://www.rioproducts.com/products/sinking/intouch-outbound-short
  8. They will be stocking brookies at a 9 inch average this year.
  9. How big were the brookies? Looks like a great trip!
  10. I prefer 3-5 units (9,000-15,000) cfs. That's enough flow to push the browns up to the bank, but not so much that its dicey fishing by yourself out of the boat. But Ill take whatever flows the Corp gives me.
  11. What is your summer sausage recipe. I am looking for a good summer sausage recipe that I do not have to have a smoker for, since I don't have a smoker. I tried a kit last year and added high temp cheddar, and finished off in the oven. I didn't care much for it.
  12. The Bull Shoals C&R area is wadeable at 1 and 2 units, but much more accessible at minimum flow or 1 unit. You will not likely be able to wade all the way across at 1 unit, but there is no need to if you park on the Golf Course side of the river (Marion County side). Dew Eddy Shoal is a good spot to fish. Pinching your barb is just fine. No one will look at your cross-eye if you wear felt soles. Not sure who told you that? I would definitely wear waders unless your only planning to fish at 5 minutes at a time. The water is super cold even in July and being that close to the dam it doesn't have a chance to warm up.
  13. Crooked is up and chocolate milk colored at Kelly's Slab as of today.
  14. I just received my first order from LureCraft.com. I was selected to test a gift card from the through StuffStuff.com. I was very impressed with their customer service and selection in the catalog. they had some harder to find items at a good price. Shipping was a little steep though. I would definately order from them again
