  1. It was because I posted a picture of a northern that my boss ate. Reasonable folks huh?
  2. Unless you fish 1 of 5 spots in kimberling than your little lovelies are safe from me. Its a huge lake. Like ive said a million times you are all wrong. My family and I fish the same few spots every year since 1977 keep all the legal fish and guess what? Theyare still there. Just as many. Just as big. Riddle me this? What this has to do with is an irirrational emotional attachment to these fish for some reason. I have proof that what I do doesnt effect the fishery but thats still not enough. Im just an evil meat fisherman.
  3. This might be the first primary literature ive ever seen on this site. Bravo, i look forward to reading it.
  4. obviously hundreds of millions was an exaggeration...i tried to make the number large enough for that to be obvious...one hundred BILLION dollars i mean bass sorry.. THat said...you CANNOT deny that bass spawn incredibly successful at table rock. I catch more of them than bluegill, they are freaking everywhere. Its like someone on reelfoot complaining that a few weekend anglers are gonna catch all the crappie outta there. Its ridiculous and defeats the point of this site. I personally like hearing fishing reports they are great, the more the better. Im sure people dont post there reports on here cuz they are afraid of being yelled at.
  5. Walleye and trout also take years to grow to record size, regardless if they were stocked or naturally recruited. Correct that it takes years to grow one, thankfully a 50000 acre reservoir such as table rock is growing hundreds of millions at the same time!! Natural recruitment of bass puts more "truck loads" of bass than any actual truck stocking fingerlings. Table rock is fully stocked to the brim every may with fresh new bass. You really really really underestimate how many bass are in table rock, which is quite surprising considering how many of them you catch.
  6. Dont forget that your also not cool with people posting pictures of fish that they intend to keep, well at least pike/bass.
  7. Whatever. this is going nowhere, your right.
  8. Presidents work great for 60$. Id spend more money on a rod and less on the reel for spinning gear. Spinning reels dont really do much, save the money and get a nice rod.
  9. Or even keep a few bass instead the crappie right? Selectively of course. Maybe just keep 2 or 3 legal bass instead of 15 crappie.
  10. I respect both bodies of water the same actually. Practice reading my post a bit more, I thought it was plain english, but ill restate that If I fished table rock as much as I fish at home id take a few and put a few back. Trust me I understand the harm that can be done to a fishery...but there are lots of fisheries that are treated WAYYYY worse that table rock yet still pump out good numbers of good fish. Fishing guides and locals on the lake and probably even you have killed more bass by accident than I have on purpose.
  11. Good point, nobody likes lawyers til they need one, in that case they are life savers. Same goes for cops. This is a very interesting case. I guess im a bit hypocritical in that I have always wanted the game wardens to check me for no reason, and welcomed it, however if a police officer wanted to search me for no reason id be furious. Maybe its because I am almost never checked by game wardens, they seem to be spread thin, yet where i live there are 3 bored police officers on every block getting paid to do whatever it is they do on their car computer. Fortunately i dont think (or maybe I hope) that the outcome of this will be a big game changer.
  12. Also...doesnt this kind of prove the point that ive been making? Your exactly right....an asshole like me and my asshole family coming down for a week and cleaning 30 spots a year "lack both the intelligence and numbers to do any real harm" Guys like you and the guides that fish 200-300 days a year on TR and can catch limits when you want can do real harm, which is why you C/R if I fished TR that much id prolly keep enough meat to eat and toss the rest back, its what I do on bodies of water i fish twice a week. I dont have the skills nor the time to do much damage to the table rock bass population.
  13. well ya I only fish table rock once a year. And the same few points in kimberling but ya if its a 15" bass or any other legal fish save catfish its getting knifed. Oddly enough they replenish themselves nicely. I wouldnt consider it to be fragile. Bass are highly adaptable and prolific.
  14. Been stuck out on stockton once with dead batteries and a storm blowin in. Do that once and new batteries forever!
  15. I dont think that it matters weather the fish has been stocked or whatever, the fact is that the white river lakes have the potential to pump out some record walleye. If I caught a 10lb largemouth out of TR....its going back in....a 15 inch spot is goin on ice though they are a dime a dozen. Busters walleye was a very rare specimen...but according to you the fact that it ate a dink bass means more of them should be knifed...read the thread!
  16. Unbelievable hypocrisy.
  17. OH just wait til the second week of august. There is a troll that lives under the hwy 13 bridge.....
  18. also why didnt you yell buster for knifing a trophy walleye? He just got high fives for a great catch.
  19. actually weve always kept all the legal bass for a family fry every year. They are easy to catch. Abundant and prolific. What blows my mind is that after 30 yearsof doing this. Still just as many fish. Its almost seems like you guys are incorrect about keeping fish.
  20. All you bass guys berating everyone else for keeping fish might just backfire as people like me who are now gonna take every legal fish outta table rock that i catch. Find something better to complain about.
  21. Yeah i was waiting for that....the real shame is the nonsense that people on here say.
  22. Just cuz this is neat. My boss has a lake house up north. Caught this 28lb northern with over 100 baby crappie in it.
