  1. Will be staying in Aunt's Creek October 3-6 with my wife. Any ideas on catching fish in that area about that time of year? Don't have the biggest or fastest boat, but would run 10-15 miles. Mainly would just like to see my wife catch a few. Thanks.
  2. Long story short, I still have the time off and still plan to go fishing; but now I'm looking for a place to stay in the Brown Bend area. Any ideas on resorts or motels etc? I guess I could always find something in Warsaw, but I was wanting something closer to the Brown Bend Public access. Also, any last minute fishing tips?
  3. Thanks for the info. While most of my efforts usually center around bass, I'll definitely have my crappie gear in the boat. I'll assume that most of the marinas have some type of minnow for sale? I'm not too fancy with crappie fishing; cork and a minnow, casting and slowly reeling a cork and pair of jigs, vertical jigging minnows and/or jigs. Again, thanks.
  4. Thanks. I usually don't like to run more than 10-15 miles as I some times get the feeling that I'm driving past fish to find fish. Years ago I was at Table Rock and stayed in Aunts Creek. One day I ran all the way to Cape Fair and started fishing around the ramp because that's where I had been catching a few fish. A guy launched his boat at Cape Fair, we got to talking, and he was running to Aunts Creek because that's where he had been catching a few fish. Again thanks for the lake info. I had really been leaning towards working down stream from Browns Bend so I'll be sure and swing into Proctor Creek.
  5. Thanks, that helps a lot. Since I've never been to the Brown Bend area is there a lot of big boat traffic? Another question; In some lakes I fish there will be signs posted on the bank around docks saying "no fishing within X feet of the boat dock". I always try to be respectful and realize that docks are private property, just wondering the generalities of fishing the docks.
  6. I'll be in the Brown Bend area June 7-12 and would like to do some bass fishing. I'll have my 18ft/150hp bass boat with me. I have never fished that area; in fact I've only been on the lake a couple of times before in the Warsaw area and PB 2. I don't know what to expect as far as boat traffic, sand bars, etc. I have looked at Google Earth and the lake looks low? I have searched "June" and "post spawn" for ideas on how to catch fish, and I have found the typical boat docks, secondary points, long tapering points, and drop offs. Jig, Carolina rig, big worms, maybe top water? Any info is helpful and appreciated.
