    Bill, can you make up for the lack of backbone in the micro-lites w/ different line? Like switching to flouro or something like that?

    Flysmallie, can't find your post on your project, but I wondered how it was going.

    I have a 7 1/2 micro-lite and I love it. I've seen some crappie rods 9 or ten feet, I think, and I've been curious about them. I believe Bill Babler uses the rod Phil sells when he guides on Taney and he speaks highly of them.

    You could always tie on 10ft of 6# and see if makes a difference. I would think that it would make a difference in action, etc. and the pothole sees a lot of fisherman.

    That is pretty cool. It would be nice if all tournies went to that format. Build in some kind of checks and balances w/ partners or digital pics to prevent cheating.

    I haven't been out this year on TRL, but I've seen it in the past. It can startle you if it happens close by. I've read biologists don't know why they do it. Must just be fun.
