  1. Were the crappie on brush piles or on shad schools?
  2. I have to say very action packed. sorry it didn't work out. i have those days as well
  3. Bitethis i expect an action packed report today lol. my guess is it was a little damp up there yesterday
  4. Sounds like they are moving back up. was he fishing flats or in the river for the cats. we were catching a bunch around aldrich about a month ago drifting but i figured the colder nights pushed them out. last i heard crappie were still on piles and trees and I've found them anywhere from 15fow to 40fow
  5. I think anything could work. Went yesterday but i didn't look for whites we got into the crappie around cedar ridge. the guy in this thread is unloading at greenfield wich is deep in the river and if there that far down then i would follow spring patterns but eventually they will be on wind blown banks and flat main and secondary points. stronger the wind the better. but i would try anything once, never know what will happen
  6. Sounds good. at least i know what there not doing. there's a chance I'm going to cedar ridge tomorrow. good luck!! pluse I've been on the crappie the last few weeks, whites would just be an added bonus
  7. I'm guessing you only found the in the water as well right lol. After i posted that i half expected an answer like that. were they busting shad or on windy banks. I'm not to familiar whith there fall paterns i usually only fish for them in early spring
  8. I 100% agree bite. Your right most of the time everyone is respectful. the other lakes i always run into someone that will just fly by you but usually not at stockton, occasionally though. also in some parts of it,it's a good place to hunt but most of which are only accessable by boat
  9. Where were the whites?
  10. Lmao bitethis!!!
  11. Went to cedar ridge last night from around 5 till sundown. managed 8 in the couple hours we were there. only got to fish one spot with 2 brush piles in about 15fow. they were holding very tight the brush and you had to throw into the wind and retrieve back with it. if not you'd catch nothing. caught the on yellow and white and chartrous jigs.
  12. Good to hear minnow. I'm going to try and get off work in time to hit the island this evening
  13. Aldrich is also not to bad. my grandpas s10 does just fine with our boat but we have a smaller boat. if you have a deep heavy boat statezarra is right state park is better
  14. Tracer glad you had a good first experience!! what also is nice,is to see a post that's back to what this forum is about, the beauty of Stockton and its great fishing. since the shut down, all that's been talked about, myself including,is all the bs going on about block offs and wether we should or shouldn't fish. i will be glad when we can get back to bitching about not catching any fish lol! hope you can get back soon tracer!! Be safe and good fishin
  15. Lol leave it to the government to quit paying people but expect us to pay a ticket if we do get one wrote. i don't think even if they were working that they would do anything but who knows.
  16. Everybody i know is still unloading lost. everybody should remember that the people who put these blocks and signs up mostly are just like all of us and fish stockton as we do. i don't think they're out to get us or tow our truck or fine us. we are just there to fish and unload on ramps we pay for. my dad unloaded at cedar ridge Wednesday and had no problems
  17. Some other guys were saying they were running up the river and flippin wood in 3 to 8 fow near deep water. said they were in tight and down trees were better than standing. i haven't bass fished much this year so i don't know for certain. hope this helps!! good luck and good fishin
  18. Same here. it seems like all I've done this year is work.
  19. Mostly west side minnow. there's lots of trees and 2 really good brush piles there. and fly its only yours when your there the rest of the time its mine lol. good luck and good fishing
  20. Lol well sorry fly can't do that. fished that for a very long time
  21. Where were you at minnow? we caught several last Wednesday at island at cedar ridge
  22. I'm going out sat morning for a few hours but I'm not bass fishing. we'er either going to aldrich to drift for cat or to cedar ridge for crappie. Good luck!
  23. Thanks kkwal and lead for the info. we fished sons this morning through mid day. ended up with 2 cats from trot line and 2 crappie trolling flicker shads. finally got irritated from not catching any cat around greaser so we loaded up and shot down to aldrich and fished this evening and ended up with 6 more cats. going back there in the morning. thanks and good luck
  24. Any ideas wether the catfish will hold the same pattern since this cold front has come through. also does any one know what the eyes and crappie are doing around the roark mutton area? Thanks and good fishing!!!
