Anyone heard of any cats being caught? I think im going to go after them after work tonight

It is almost that time where the bouncing and flickers will be the go to thing...the flickers are getting some results now but in a week or two it will get really.. got some new colors to try and i want to try bouncing that red slow death rig. Good luck fellas keepem coming on the reports...ive had to pull my daughter from her day care and the next few days i have off will be spent with her until she starts back at her old one so itll be a couple weeks before i get out. Thats one of many reasons i love OAF because even if you cant get to the water it still seems like in a way youve been every day...good luck guys. Ps my dad caught a mess of buck crappie around greenfield 5-8 fow right onthe bottom.. 4-6 ft visibility and 67-69 degrees. Real real light bite..sounds like they were holding on the nest.

I need to get out on the lake...its been packed the last month but it must be empty now cause everyone is on their computer ...you guys just go fishing!

You are right as rain! Lol...im gonna go look then too...i still got one north facing canopy covered flat with some ash trees that still has 4in. Of leaves and nothing grown up on yet that ive been waiting to check till after a rain. Hope they make one last appearance. Good luck...let me know

Went to my late season spot for morels and nothing. It started out great but the rain stopped and so did my morel finding. I did however find some good prospects for next year. Lets hope it rains a bunch...ive never hunted for them but chantrelles come up soon so if anyone has any advice on those that would be great. As with all shrooms i know we need rain first!

Thanks...yeah the one time i did get to go earlier in season i had one coming hard but i was in the wrong place and he hung up on me in a field and wouldnt come on down. Im hopeing to get a late season youngen thats looking for some action! The hard thing about this late is settin still cause they will still come to a call but its a better chance that they will be quiet about it and not come in hollering. Either way its good to just be out in Gods creation. Going tomorrow night to check a spot for shrooms that i found them late in last year. I will post my results

I looked at posts last year and there were big finds up in the second week of may. It was hotter last year also. I think with the cool temps if we get some rain soon they pop one last time but who knows!

There is a road if you dont already know about it called e475 about two or so miles before highpoint turn on 123. Turn left and take the white gravel road forward instead of following the pavement. Go almost to end and turn right. At top of hill turn at first left if you have 4x4 and follow down and to the right until you cant drive any more. Thats a spawning cove and should be holding some males out towards the trees to the left. Ps i would take my 2 yr old there. Quite a bit of room to sit and run around but bring chairs!

They are the kaelins triple threat grubs...other than a bobby garland blk and chrt strollr the triples are all i use...especially john deere and a crappie nibblet...works outstanding!

Bait masters sells those in bags of 40 for less than 5 dollars and has john deere, lemon meringe, and wally world i think.

Wtg slab...im still scoping new spots and havnt found any in a week or so but ive fond some promising late season spots...found a lot of ash trees but nothing under them and up untill what you posted i thought i was too late but now im thinking that those areas might not have popped yet with this cooler weather. Hopefully some rain and a warm up will do some good. I only have about 20 so far so i need to stock up still.

I am new to "hunting" them foresay...i used to have access to 1500 acers and have known where they come up since i was a kid. I now know why mushroomers are so secretive...ive probably walked 25 miles in the last 3 days with no avail. I have one small spot that produces up at stockton but thats it...im just now learning trees and it seems if you know where ash flats are you got it made...at least this year. Ive been everywhere from lawrence county to dade count. Any advice on finding these areas on top of what i already know like get out and walk is greatly appriciated. Robinhood...i would use my time wisely and check the stockton forum and take the extra 30-45 mins to make the drive up there. I work two job.go to school. And have a family and i primarly fish from the bank and there is never a time that i want to eat fish and i dont have any. Stockton is a great place for everything....fish,turkey,deer,mushrooms. Most all land around the banks of stockton is mdc and coe land at least 500yds. Check it out its a great place.

Well a few years ago id be shocked to hear that but im not now. I think we are just gonna walk the banks though...mainly for that very reason.

Wow srj i greatly envy your ability to fish all of tha. But also really respect the fact that for many many years you probably busted your rear to earn this time. At the moment i work two jobs, go to school full time, and a wife and two kids but one of these days! I have to work tomorrow or i would jump on the chance to fish with you for the learning experience cause i learn tons from what you post. But on the bright side i am taking my daughter up bright and early before church to find some speckled friends then its off to church and then work. Good luck in the morning and hopefully it stays dry!

Here we go...my phone is very tempermental

Found some big males up around aldrich in 4fow...blk and chart bobby garland with spin head. Had limit by 9 but it came with a price. I was soaked! They were every cast while it rained real hard. Also found a bunch of shrooms...not many morels but lots of chickens beef steaks and ect. Gonna be good this evening and friday...will post pics when my phone cooperates
