  1. We're coming down Sunday for a week and I'm going to try below the landing for a change. I've never been past the landing so it will be a new experience and I have no idea where to begin or where the gold mine actually is but i'll post some reports at least.
  2. love your video's as always. How about trying to make one below the landing maybe, perhaps around the gold mine area or between the landing and there? Just a suggestion and it's not my gas being burnt running down there so it's easy for me to ask
  3. Thank you for asking. I'm looking for a side console and carpeted floors though.
  4. pictures of izorline
  5. 1 New box 6 pound test Invizx and a huge spool of 8 pound test Izorline XXX which is super limp and wonderful on a spinning rod. I would estimate atleast 6500 yards left on the spool......enough line to last a long long time. I would like to sell together if possible. $40 shipped paypal preferred.
  6. phil is always a #1 choice with us but sometimes it doesn't work out because his place is so popular. you might try trout hollow, they almost always have vacancy and are looking to fill it. you can also try to get a condo at fall creek off of VRBO.com and leave on there dock which is pretty nice. those are the 2 options I know of. I think you could rent a slip from any of the resorts even if your not staying at their place if you had to stay off lake. you could also rent a slip from Scottys if you had to stay in town as well.
  7. thank you for thinking about me and posting this. I'm hoping for something a little newer but again I appreciate the thought very much sir.

  10. saw that scam one also. that's irritating.
  11. I"m looking for a used Aluminum boat, Tracker, G3, Crestliner, Triton, Lowe etc. 17 to 18ft. 60 to 90 hp 2005 or newer. Just thought I would throw it out there.
  12. i would check with Cooper Creek resort maybe, as well as the down town RV park?
  13. added some more pictures for your viewing pleasure.
  14. Whatever you choose my suggestion would be something with a nice wide or big spool. The little ultra light reels that have a narrow spool with twist your line a ton, you won't get good casting distance at all and you'll deal with messes a lot.
  15. Last but not least I've reached a point in my life where I could care less about running fast. I hardly ever run Ranger over 40 mph anyway anymore. Just sucks gas and is harder on the equipment. Give me an aluminum boat, a 60 HP motor and a handful of road runners and Ned rigs and trout magnets and just about as happy as a guy could be
  16. I had aluminum before the ranger and miss it badly. Here's the deal if I fish Tablerock or grand lake I'm always in my buddy's boats. I use my boat for taneycomo mainly plus a watershed here by my house. The watershed doesn't have a ramp and it's really hard to get my boat out. I also don't like pulling my heavy boat down to taneycomo very badly. That tin pulls so much nicer and it drafts shallower Soni could get it in the trophy area alot easier. If I'm on any kind of bigger lake at all its always in someone else's boat. The 175txw mentioned above is almost exactly what I'm looking for. Simple to pull, easy on gas, easy to pull in and out of the watershed and shallow draft. Just my personal needs and wants
  17. Forgot it's got a Keel Guard also
  18. My buddy always says "this was back when ranger truly did build then one at a time". It's obvious in the pride of workmanship. I'm a big boy and the floor doesn't flex or anything. .just solid as a tank. You can't believe the amount of foam they put in these things I was impressed when I put the recessed tray in. Not sure you could sink one if you wanted to. This is the year they went to the glass transom also so it will never rot out either
  19. The merc is orginal powerhead yes. And yes I have done some updating with the flipping deck, electronics, recessed tray, ladder and I also have a home made tackle organizer like the cooks system that is nice also. $8000 is just the asking price to start with but always open to offers or a possible trade to aluminum
  20. Thanks Ham. I'm sure I'm above bluebook value but this is probably in better shape than 80% of the boats from that year to. And it's arguably one of the best hulls ever built. I'm not totally firm on the price but it's a starting point at least
  21. Great job and great report. Thanks for sharing.
  22. thanks guys. it's solid as the day it was built. I just want to go back to aluminum because I want a boat to use on taney since I fish It more than anywhere else and aluminum is a lot lighter to pull from Kansas down there
