  1. Thanks for the info otf. Huzzah looks interesting. Might have to check it out.
  2. Thanks for the sarcasm chief. Was just looking for some advice on some new water. I can fish the Ned just fine.
  3. I am taking a trip to St. Louis this weekend and would like to stop on the way back and do some fishing. I was thinking piney, meramac, or any river on the way. I will be bank fishing. Any suggestions of places I could go? I am not familiar with that neck of the woods so any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks in advance. Mofloatjunkie
  4. My 35 dollar setup catches fish with the ned ALL DAY. No need for expensive setups.
  5. Nice fish. Good job on the hookectomy. I seem to catch more goggle eye with Ned in the boat than bass.
  6. With the recent death death that occurred I just wanted to remind everyone to stay safe out there. Use common sense and always be looking out for obstructions. If a riffle looks too dangerous don't take it . Carrying your vessel a little ways is a lot better than a tragic accident.
  7. Nice fish dougie. I caught a few smallmouth in the boulders before the bridge. Guess I'll be on the lookout for crappie now too!!! Thanks for posting.
  8. No walleye in the James... Move along.?
  9. Nothing like passing the fishing addiction to the next generation. Awesome!!
  10. I floated Delaware to shelvin again yesterday, water was a little lower than last week and the fishing pattern was a little different. The bass seemed to be shallower, caught all of my smallmouth in and arround wood. The squarebill crankbait I used all day and was a killer on the goggle eye as well. Caught dozens of those again. Ned rig was good too. Biggest bass was a 14 in smallmouth so no big ones. Had an awesome day. Weather was perfect. Keep the reports coming boys!!!
  11. Looks loke a great time yaknar. I have been slaying the goggle eye myself. Caught a mess of them yesterday at Delaware from the bank after I did some shuttle work for my brother. Caught them on a squarebill crankbait in real shallow water next to logs. I will be floating tomorrow in a green plastic canoe. If any members are out there be sure and say hi!!
  12. I did a lot of wading and I was wearing tennis shoes. I'm Not gonna lie my legs and feet were absolutely freezing the whole trip. Bring the waders. Thanks for your report, your comment on catching fish in the middle of the river for sure put me on more fish.
  13. After our float trip yesterday I saw a spoonbill someone had cutoff the head, took the nose, and dumped the rest in the river. It made me VERY upset. That was at shelvin rock.
  14. Took our first float trip of the year. Was a little chilly, but the fish were biting. Caught a decent smallmouth on the first cast. I was using the Ned rig exclusively the first hour or so and to my surprise I caught way more goggle eye than bass. Switched to a tube bait and seemed to catch more bass that way. Most of the fish we caught were in deeper water and not relating to structure as much as usual. Found a spawning bed in the back of a cove filled with bass but they wanted nothing to do with our lures. We caught fish on Ned rigs, tube baits, small cranks and 16th oz. jigs. All fish were released to be caught another day. This trip was a reminder of how great the fishing is we have here in the ozarks and how lucky I am to live here. Get out and enjoy it !!!
  15. Glad to hear you caught some fish. Hopefully I will get to go next week. Planning on floating from Delaware to shelvin. Will post a report when I go.
  16. Thanks Harry. You live at Indian point?
  17. Thought about driving down there after work and making a few casts. Can any of you guys give me any reports or advice? Is the water real dirty? Thanks in advance.
  18. TOO MUCH IS NEVER ENOUGH!!... nice collection.
  19. Last time I went camping we were catching bass with drop shot worms around chicken rock. I always do really good around that area.
  20. Had a guy at work tell me today they are staging at the mouth of the river. Said he seen hundreds on his fish finder all schooled up today. Don't know how reliable the info is, but it sounds encouraging.
  21. Will be on the bank. The pond after a rain is good huh? I've never fished in there before. Will try and throw some jigs around there. Thanks.
  22. I plan on taking my little brother to empire tomorrow morning in hopes of catching some slicks. Last time I got skunked. Any body caught any around there recently? I got some advice from Phil last week on some things to try but any other advice would be appreciated.
  23. And just to let everyone know... I will be wearing my fishing jersey! LOL
  24. I just got a new trolling motor for my 10 ft flat bottom. I hope you make this happen aggressor.
  25. If you can make it happen I'll be there. I would recommend maybe just taking pics with an object in the photo to reduce mortality on fish.
