  1. I was out there yesterday all day, spent some time on the brush piles and trolled for part of the time but didn't get anything.
  2. I appreciate the replies guys. I am on vacation, was out there yesterday for a few hours, getting ready to go out there again. I have a hummingbird with DI, found several fish in brush piles yesterday while I was out there. Found a bunch in the brush piles across from the Marina but only had about 10 minutes left.
  3. Hey everyone, I just recently started fishing Fellows this spring, been out there several times and have not able to get a bite. Can anyone give me some pointers? I fish from a boat and and generally always catch and release. I primarily target muskie but enjoy fishing for anything that is biting. Can anyone give me some pointers on place, jigs, etc that work good on this lake? Also, I have never specifically fished for crappie, can anyone give me some pointers on how to fish for them? Thanks in advance.
  4. I went to Fellows on Saturday, didn't catch anything and had to cut the trip short due to boat motor issues.
  5. Thanks for the answers guys, looking forward to getting out there and doing some fishing!
  6. I just bought a 15' aluminum semi v boat for use on Fellows Lake, I have a larger boat that I take to other area lakes so this one would only be used there. I have never been on Fellows and am not sure what the bottom is like. For those of you that are on there frequently can you give me some tips as to the best anchor to use there? Is the bottom mostly rocky or mud? Thanks in advance.
  7. This boils down to a lack of courtesy by individuals, not an entire community. I have seen people with a lack of common courtesy in everything. A big portion of the bowfishing community does not condone dumping the fish on the banks, ramps, etc. The bowfishermen I know all take their fish to farms to use as fertilizer and some are eaten. I have also seen many places where bass fishermen, crappie fishermen, etc clean their fish and just throw what is left all over the place, that isn't any different. Here is a thread on one of the bowfishing sites regarding fish dumping. http://bow.fishingcountry.com/forums/showthread.php?2545-Police-each-other-(fish-dumping)
  8. I appreciate the replies, I am not real familiar with the lake, I was hoping up closer to the Cape Fair area the boat traffic would be down and be able to fish some. I have some things going on in the morning so that is why I would be getting a later start. I generally fish Pomme De Terre and may go up there considering how busy Table Rock gets and may hold off on a trip to table rock.
  9. I am thinking about taking a trip for the first time down to Table Rock to fish on Sunday, thinking about putting in at Aunt's Creek or at the Cape Fair public use area and getting there around 11 or so and fishing until sundown. Can anyone give me some pointers as to where to fish in that area and how to fish it? I am looking for walleye, crappie, or bass but will fish for anything biting.
  10. I am from Waynesville too, moved to the Springfield area several years ago though. Just take I44 to Lebanon, hop on 64 and it will take you straight into Pittsburg where you will be close to several ramps on Pomme.
  11. I am a member of the musky club, great group of guys there. Throughout the year we have several programs that will take you out on the lake to fish for musky and show you the proper way to handle these beasts. You can go to the website Blue Catfish provided and it will give you a list of the different dates we have planned. The other link he provided it for Earle Hammond, he is a member of the club too and VERY knowledgeable about the lake.
  12. I am new to muskie fishing, just bought a boat this spring and have been going to Pomme every chance I get. While fishing for bass had a muskie hit my bucktail, that created a monster lol. Went out and bought a new rod and reel specific for muskie and have been hitting twin coves quite a bit, have not had much luck with the bucktails but the weekend before last was getting hit on a crankbait quite a bit, even have several teeth marks in the lure but never actually brought one in.
  13. I just started fishing Pomme De Terre this year, I am usually always in Twin Coves but have not had much luck all year, still trying to learn the lake, planning on coming up Saturday late afternoon.
  14. Hello all, my name is Mike. Moved to Springfield about 2 years ago and bought a fish and ski this past spring. Been fishing mostly at Pomme De Terre this year, have not been to the other lakes in the area much other than taking the kids tubing at Table Rock. Are there many people that fish Pmme De Terre here?
