I fished today it was great,the water is about 9 inches higher than low water.the flies that worked the best we're San Juan worm,trout crack, sow bug. Take care if you go down Ritchy shoals a tree is blocking the deeper part of shoal you have to drag through. Good fishing ! -
Greg Seaton ,search little red fly fishing guide service, Greg is a good guide and fun to fish with. You can't depend on wade fishing at the Little Red the gen schedule changes too often. Greg has a jet boat and can fish anywhere on the river.

How fast does the Little Red with one generator open flow,also with two generators ? I am trying to get times for different shoals.thanks -
I fished the Taylor in Sept.Below the dam is combat fishing at it's best. We went to Lake City about 60 miles from the dam and found much better fishing ,Henson creek has camping and you can get a guide at fly shop that will put you on fish. The fish on the little red are larger and it has more public fishing. You will encounter a lot of posted water in colo.
