  1. That bottom one looks sick! Brown and yellow would be killer on that pattern for north fork.like the wool may have to buy some
  2. Glad that Justin and Amy are at least making some income... They got wiped off the map.
  3. Tied this yesterday as a white version of the same fly ... Looks like a barely legal when wet but more side to side action and less jigging action. I'm try them out today on bass in the pond ...
  4. Glad to see someone else's organized chaos!
  5. Not yet but hear they are great for more action in the tail end.
  6. Billethead and wrench are right it is addictive to say the least !
  7. Pretty cool man! You are really into the streamer game! I'm starting to get into it as well. If u are around at the taney Oct 1&2 ill be down chucking big stuff I've concocted.
  8. Craft fur head with Olive schlappen , sculpin Marabou and black Marabou for the body. The underbody has Crystal Flash wrapped around it as well.
  9. Had ok luck with leeches going to try articulated stuff this year.
  10. So lets talk streamers at night... Wanting to get a tactics and advuc thread going since several of us are interested in this. Ill start with the fact I've had success with mohair leeches and scuds but I'm wanting streamer action ...
  11. At night I bet a beetle would tear them up. may try a cricket then. Can't wait to get down there.
  12. Black craft foam body and elk hair for under wing. Use camo centipede legs in small. utc in rusty to tie it together. Very simple and fast to tie. I sally Hanson the crap out of the wraps and over wing for durability. Lots of elk hair for under wing makes it come to life inwater. The body is dubbed with hairs mask over foam and thread .
  13. Good look at the hopper in action... 😎
  14. Think ill throw sculpins and some baitfish flies I concocted recently. . . also may try a silly rabbit type fly and a muddler skittered across the top. Ill be down the first and second over night.
  15. Cool mirror pic
  16. the first few times I tried dries I didn't have great deal of luck but you are right on presentation. .. Long leader over bushes and long casts have been the trick.
  17. Ill get one up tonight or tomorrow
  18. Water is low and clear down there. Had to do a lot of walking to find pools and pockets big enough to stay out of sight. Stealth was entirely the key this trip. I used ten foot leader with eighteen inch 7x tippet and stood as far from my targets as possible. Sight casting to wild rainbows is a blast and sure made for some challenging casts. Big pools with current were the main hang outs. I would cast the current seams then move on to the edges of the pools as they sweep aroundthe dirt bank. One spot yielded 8 fish on the cricket. Systematically dissected the pool and subsequent riffle making accurate casts where I could see fish. Another pool was filled with roaming trout munching bwo and midges. Tied on a mosquito here and managed a few smaller and then went soft hackle dry fly and wrangled a better one from the outskirts of the pool. There were some bruisers in that pool that took looks but did not commit. Caddis picked up some dinks in the shallow long runs. With the cricket today I had great success. Size ten cricket with size twenty pheasant tail dropper. The dropper was most affective when the cricket got a good drift from run to the eddies of the pools. Also had several nice fish in the stream flats under tree root wads on the cricket. Bounce the cricket off the tree or surrounding bank and fish on. Again long leader and heron like stealth were key. Crane is such a great place to practice patience and the study before casting method. All in all solid day. Few monsters lurking down there that I think will need some evening attention to get on the flyrod....
