  1. These are what I caught them on. Craft fur clousers that I weight with lead and bead chain eyes.
  2. In shocked you didnt catch anything. I had good time last Friday. Going Monday as well. What were you throwing ? Was the agent a woman? If so she is really nice. Believe her name is Susie
  3. Haven't seen a trout in a month. Has anyone been down ?
  4. My fish were from TAylor down to the second gravel shoal area. All were from current to edge of river. At the end of each drift solid strike and fish on. Even had half dozen chasers
  5. What about the gray area fellas (devils advocate here)? When a person catches only say a couple then decides they don't want them. They are still kicking and they release them because they changed their mind. I have seen this done a lot. Wonder how that would be viewed by conservation ? I have no problem with it on the grounds that they would've been wasted otherwise.
  6. Whites are up river from there and moving up fast. I tore up the males at Taylor on Thursday. Caught a Walter as well
  7. Threw clousers today in white and chartreuse. Water a little murky still but by weekend the fishing is going to be unreal.
  8. So males are milting but females haven't shown up yet. Caught fish steadily all morning. Even got a surprise walleye !
  9. Found we in the yard today... Dang things were just peeking outbox some leaves in a spot where I would normally have mowed Already but got behind this year. Lucky me. My wife actually spotted them as we were stepping down mole runs.
  10. Heading down tomorrow ill let you know how it goes. Taking fly rod to Taylor bright and early probably wade up and down see if they are shoaling yet
  11. Me either... Im trying again this weekend though. If there's doubt drop too far.
  12. With the steady rain this week they will run. The temps and day length are getting near perfect. Sewing dogwoods pop and already seeing spring birds. I'm going again Friday morning with the canoe this time.
  13. Question is Orleans where the old metal walk bridge is? Never have been able to figure out what was what. I know Taylor and 215
  14. Let us know how it goes.
  15. Mine just doesn't like the idea of me fishing every week so far from home . she ok
  16. Time Is the trick. My wife is already over me fishing this spring Lol.
  17. Water level back down to 400 cfs should be cleared up by next week
  18. Water level back down to 400 cfs. Should be back to a great level soon. As long as we dont get excessive rains its going to be a great year.
  19. Sarcasms aside these guys have nailed it. Though I would add that fishing the catch and release zones as well as winter catch and release season can be much better for learning as well as maintaining sanity in the parks. Also if you notice someone just slaying the don't be afraid to ask what they are throwing just don't fish while asking and wait for them to stop.
  20. Looked in my spot and didn't find squat. My wife isn't happy lol
  21. Had a big catfish on today and he came off. Other than that nada. Water is muddy and high as you would figure. Think its going to be a good year though. Looks good down there . stopped at talbot con area on the way home. Caught some bull bluegill and five bass.
  22. Looks like its dropping pretty fast. Weird how it shot up so high so fast . gonna check it out tomorrow and see what it looks like. Probably chocolaty milk. .. Maybe just muddy ... Least we got rain
  23. Already back below 800 cfs. Ill be down Tuesday morning either way.
  24. Hard to believe that iT would jump all the way up to 1600 cfs. I would guess it wouldn't be great for fishing at that level.
  25. Almost the perfect weather for the little guys. Ill be taking an early look this next week as well. Supposed to stay around sixties and seventies for highs so can't imagine they will stay hidden me h longer.
