I have found that all the posts negative or positive on this forum serve their purpose. I learned about plateau here and have shared tips and tricks with other people,I even have bumped into family on here! Also I have seen rudeness and bitterness, some of which was warranted and some just cabin fever getting out of hand. All in all it is a place to learn and make acquaintance with other anglers who just need an outlet for the fishing blues. Happy or crappy learning is the best function of oaf in my opinion. Lurking just seems kinda silly since you can't be seen anyway so join and learn!

I've always had luck in canoe but didn't get to take it last year. I usually use a road runner or rooster tail in white or white and Chartreuse. Purple grub worked goo in 2012. Hope they are up Monday after the 70 degree weekend.

If you are in the river you're fine. Also the parking lot by the new bridge Is public but if you park at mill it costs.

Mostly fish from bank or close to it so hip would work fine. Need to get down again before snakes completely take over

I live in mt Vernon and it rained steady all night and morning! Drove over turn back and it looked like it was up high so good luck this weekend guys. Hope little sac got a good drink too. I will be up there next Monday . More rain Thursday so I'm gambling on the warmth from Monday pulling them up some then the rain and more warmth bringing them to taylor/Orleans area. I can't haul my canoe by myself so I'm limited
