  1. In wading I will agree with Mr Agnew. I prefer shorter light action rods with lighter line though. I've never had trouble playing a big fish on4 lb mono either. I think it is all a matter of what cover you're fishing and how big youev
  2. Thought it might be you!
  3. Thanks for being a great person Rick!
  4. Technically not my uncle but married to my mom's cousin. Always called him uncle anyway.
  5. Caught it on a tiny sow bug fly below the dam. On four pound line. It's the world record for four pound test. He's an awesome guy. Just had a battle with cancer and is back to fly fishing again ! Grew up playing with his sons at LOZ on a dock
  6. Let me know how you do sunday
  7. Lol yep! I did see a monster lurking under the bridge by the mill. Woukdnt take a thing. Waited for an hour he hit one stone fly then vanished. I'd say four pounds at least.
  8. According to the mdc website Capps is stocked six times a year. It doesn't specify when though. I know it was done in November because I caught over twenty in like two hours. Would figure they do it every two months.
  9. Was in at around 1230 yesterday. They even got me signed up for mailer and some classes.
  10. If you are staying at Lilly's you can ask the staff there! They know everything about this subject. I think they even keep the gen schedule in the office.
  11. Just wanted to say that the guys at plateau are awesome! Friendly knowledgeable, also they have my uncle's record Brown up on the wall.
  12. Wonder how effective it would be for a canoe or kayak?

  14. Has any one used a cell phone depth/fish finder app with any success?
  15. I've only caught one Brown down there.
  16. I've only caught one Brown down there.
  17. Red would be great! At least then they'd be there
  18. I know some spots that should be holding though lol
  19. That's how I feel about it! Ready for river wally to show his teeth!
  20. Wondering how the little sac is looking?
  21. Blue with rays coming from eyes but common name according to internet is also goggleye lol. Oh jeez this is bad
  22. People really hit it hard and keep everything. Its very sad because it's a nice little creek. I am taking time off of it to study crane creek until spring walleye and white s take off.
  23. Sorry about the war mouth being lumped in there but mdc sites it as being a similar fish to the goggleye and it's in the same order and family so I always assumed that they were cousins and evenly distributed. However it turns out that they primarily live in southeastern Missouri with populations lightly spread throughout southern Missouri. Also, I didn't realize that rock shadow, and Ozark were different others than their body of waterinhabited! I still believe I have caught at least two kind in same place on niangua. Even have pointed out distinct pattern differences to my father only to have him say "goggleye" in exclamation. Lol good old boy
