  1. I need to keep up on this as Mr B never tells me what he is writing. I have to look over his shoulder as he is chuckling and typing. All I can say is he really knows how to show a girl a good time. Spray me down with bug dope and take me to the woods!
  2. Mrs. BilletHead here, Sorry to say he survived the night. No projectile vomiting or bloody diarrhea. Seems as though his kidney and liver functions are normal too as is other things Now to this morning, well I will let him post this mornings trip with photos as he is the most techy one in the house. He even helped me clean a few. That is not normal so maybe the shrooms have affected him in a better way? Mrs. B
  3. Thanks guys, Mr. BilletHead here. Luckycraft, I don't know what it is but we have more mallards here than I have ever seen. Four miles from here there is a roost that is loaded with birds. I have been watching them from afar leaving the place alone. We can hunt there but I am hoping they will eat the field where they are staying and work other places. The field we hunted yesterday is two miles away so they are going out some. We are trying to play it smart and have good hunts but not run the birds out. Have another place eight miles out where the conditions are close to the same. With the warmer temps we have had a thaw so they might spread out again. Also there have been days of great passage so you all to the South should be seeing more. It all could end with weather changes. All I can say is field hunting for ducks is something special. We worked five flocks yesterday from thirty birds to the largest of a hundred or more. Of the five flocks only one smaller one did not drop in. It may of had a bird or two that had been shot at before. The birds wanted to land right on the mojos which I think were to close as one of my drakes took six #2s to the breast. I guess he will make fajita meat for tonights meal, BilletHead
  4. Boys, I am here to tell you that Marty really knows how to show a girl a good time!!! Woke up about 4:30 this am...proceeded to get decoys, blinds, guns, etc loaded and took off (about 2 miles as the duck flies from home). He took me to set up in a cornfield where he saw literally thousands of mallards yesterday. I set up the layout blinds while he toted stuff across the field. Set up our decoys-waited for what seemed like a long time (while watching a beautiful sunrise!). Geese started flying first, then the sky exploded with ducks! We ended up with seven mallards today. We returned home, unloaded the truck and trailer, and cleaned our birds. Had some running to do, then came home and Marty cooked mallard breasts (rare to medium rare)-seared on the charcoal grill. I chopped a salad and baked a potato. Yum Yum!!! Finally set down to rest with a glass of Zin. What a glorious day!!!!!
