  1. Probably caught about 50 crappie. Only 12 were big enough to go for a boat ride. Greaser Creek and around there. 9:30am - 6:30pm 1/16 oz short tailed jigs (sprigs) brown, chartreuse-black-chartreuse, and white-blue-white ( color didn't seem to matter really) 12-20fow around brushpiles. After reading panfish's post we went to the wrong arm. All I can say is they must b starting to bite if I can catch a few. Beautiful day to b on the lake
  2. No website or anything like that. We are just a small group of guys that fish a tournament a month. We have a few open tournaments a year to help raise a little money for our end of the year "championship" and potentially get a new member or two.
  3. Just our small club tournament. Good ol Boys
  4. The bite wasn't any better Saturday nite. Not for us anyway. 1st place was 8.?? With 4 fish. 2nd was 7.46 with 3 keepers. The best part was watching my daughter catch a 3.41lb bass and a handful of short fish. She missed BB by .06lb. Bit of a let down but we had good time with short fish and shooting stars.
  5. That was our last open tournament for this season. We will most likely have another one in November or December. The few I caught came from the bushes but I just find any consistency so bailed and really struck out fishing deeper.
  6. I believe 7 boats did weigh but I could be wrong. 1st-6.72, 2nd-6.10, 3rd-5.?? BB-4.90. My daughter and I only had one keeper that we didn't weigh and I know of one other boat that only had one keeper that didn't weigh either. Pretty dern tough for us that nite. I'm sure someone is probably catching them but danged if I know where or how. Thanks to everybody that got to come out and fish.
  7. I was going to until we got my daughters ball schedule the other nite. Was looking forward to donating all weekend
  8. No membership just the entry fee $55. I guess I state that $5 is for BB and it is optional
  9. Sweet hope to see guys there and meet you. We have a great bunch of guys. There is usually a little ribbing and some trash talk but all in good fun. There isn't one of these guys that wouldn't give you the shirt off his back.
  10. I would love to have 18lbs even if didn't get a check after the last few months I have had. It mite sting a little but I think it mite b fun to get on some good fish for a change. Really been struggling for awhile.
  11. Aw come on out and have some fun. It's like PHunter was saying it puts everyone more on an even playing field. We had our last regular club tournament June 20 and it rained all week that week. I think we only had 6 boats and 3 fish for just a little under 6lbs ended up winning and 2nd was just little less than that. BB was rite at 2 1/2lbs. So really anybody had a chance. So really come on out it'll b better than sitting at home wishing you were fishing
  12. Good Ol' Boys Open Buddy Bass Tournament, Old State Park, July 11, 6pm-1am, $55 per boat (includes big bass), enter at ramp, pays 1 place per 5 boats.
  13. Stockton Old State Park July 11. 6pm-1am $50 entry fee and $5 Big Bass pot.
  14. Rite there with you on the stick baits fall-spring. Had the day off today and actually tried the jerkbait some today with no luck. Thought with all the shad and suspended fish showing up on the graph it mite work. Wrong. Only caught one dern bass and that was on a jig in about 20-25 fow. Got few other bites but just pick it up and spit it out. Still better than working
  15. I got to fish the USA Bassin Saturday. The only couple good fish we caught was early on a main lake point with chuck rock with an A-rig. One was a 6lber and the other a 4lber. We tried other main points but couldn't get the same results. Just got lucky for once. The rest of the day we used jerkbaits on main and secondary points. We had about 10-15 keepers and a handful of shorts.
  16. I'm with you slab slinger on the war eagle smoke/purple. My favorite until it gets dark then it's black/purple with big Colorado blade(s)
  17. Thank you fishinwrench the third problem fits my 200hp 95 mariner EFI to a "T". I just thought I wasn't spending enough on a battery. Also thank you Scott for asking the question
  18. No doubt! Everybody was amped up to get our season started.
  19. I called mutton creek marina about noon today. They said there was ice around their docks but that was about all the farther it was froze. In mutton creek anyway.
  20. Sorry but we just decided to cancel. Most of our club lives in the Joplin area and the roads are already covered here. Once again sorry for the late notice but too many of us are diehards, stubborn, or whatever you want to call it to not give up til the last minute. Myself being one of, if not the worst.
  21. Good ol' Boys open buddy bass tournament will b held tomorrow. 7-3:30 mutton creek ramp. Hope to see you there.
  22. We will make a decision on Friday. Just to give Mother Nature and the " weather guessers " ( I like that by the way) a chance to get their ducks in a row. I will post one way or the other Friday afternoon.
  23. Good Ol' Boys tournament $5o entry $5 big bass pay at ramp
